Honestly stadia hit a point of game ownership of me. I like having physical copies, I like having a physical object that I can insert physical objects into to play games I physically own. Google stadia felt like one of those hyper futuristic situations where you will have 100 subscriptions, own nothing and be screwed over by a whim when a corporation decides to shelf its services.

Sadly all physical copies these days have a digital store front DRM, so despite owning them you can't play them when the store front in question goes offline.

Have you heard about GoG? You can download your games , legally owned and write them to physical media. Also, DRM free. 80% of my games are bought there. Best part, they pull off patches and updates long after the release.

I must say when Google and its whole Android eco system came out I was onboard and thought it was great, now however seeing how they start projects then just kill or swap them I no longer bother to get involved, you tube is a cluster fuck now of ADs and shorts Gmail permeates all we do in the name of convenience and Chrome well I wont start on that shite with its ability to ignore AD blockers and feed ADs to me about conversations I have been having with my phone in the background, as a result I use nothing of Googles anymore, this failing was in my view a planned step once they have harvested enough Data to see a trend on controllers and tastes of gamers that they can now use on the Android eco system and chrome os system, I believe Googles ultimate aim is to become another Apple walled system. Yes I have a foil hat lol.

Why doesn't surprise me? Besides, not announcing development teams is really on the lowest moves that even a third world small company will not do.

Didn't it only release in select regions? Of course no one will use it if you don't even make it available.

I can use my Stadia controller on the PC without a problem, connected via USB cable.
Just found the answer for what I previously asked, no it cannot be used via Bluetooth.... so yeah, it seems I was correct, I guess that's why you didn't respond to the question. awesome google being awesome *shrugs*

A complete dumpster fire of a business model, that made no sense, and every alternative was better... who could have seen that failing? frack Google.
it makes perfect sense if you listen to the world economic forum and their slogan, 'you will own nothing, and be happy. ' added by me, 'and rent everything.'

Of course, and that's why those of us with functional brain cells resist all these rental models as much as we can. I'm not even thrilled that such a large portion of my game collection is digital only. Sure Steam/GOG are probably going nowhere, but I'd much prefer to have actual control, own an actual physical copy that can be played any time so my access can't just be stolen on a whim.

6000 hours of RDR2 and he still only has 26/51 trophies. ^^
