300%, eh. So does that mean we will see a 300% decrease on retail prices. 😀
I can dream, can't I. 😀
I wish they would hurry up with the 1TB models for less than $1/GB.

I need the 500GB models to come down in price for my games

They're cheap enough now that I have to restrain myself from grabbing one just for my Games alone. Maybe someday.... 😉

I'll be grabbing one next year! I hate the boot times of HDDs :P

The more reasonable prices have no doubt helped that, every month i have my my finger hovering above the Buy button, before deciding that i should keep waiting as i will get more space for less money soon enough.

I contributed. Just snatched up a 512GB Crucial M4 for $329. Glory.

I splashed out on the new Plextor 256GB M5 Pro (PX-256M5P) for £216 off ebay, that's about £0.85p per GB. What surprised me was the MTBF of 2,400,000 Hours, thats nearly 274 years

Ever since I bought my Vertex 2 to replace a dying 150GB Velociraptor I've made a vow to never build or buy another machine without a SSD system drive. The difference, especially in laptops where low-RPM sluggish spinners are everywhere, is just stunning. Picked up a Samsung 830 256GB in the last month and it's blazingly fast and I was quite happy to pick it up for $189. If only the 512GB model would reduce in price like the 256GB...

Sad to say my Crucial M4 512GB died. All efforts as resurrection have failed...RIP. Hope the RMA goes well only had it a couple of months.

Well good news folks. I tried the method of last resort. Just hotplugged the stupid thing in for an hour sitting at the desktop and chopped some firewood. Came back and still no drive. Said WTF over... rebooted and the drive was detected. IMMEDIATELY reflashed back to 000F firmware and all is back to normal all apps files etc etc.....like the last 36 hours never happened...hey...there's a movie idea...

Maybe this means I can snatch probably a 512 GB Corsair Neutron GTX or a Samsung 840 Pro cheaper next year (should I find a reason to) and replace my hard drive that I have games installed on.
