i wish we had more than two companies on GPU market so we could see improvements in pricing and efficiency in that area too ... 🙁

Micron is doing good for SSD market. I just wish their SATA motherboard components were up to par.

+1 "Oil and war threads will be closed on sight." In b4 Hilbert locks his own thread. :wanker:

In case you didn't notice, Micron (Crucual) dropped a bomb on SSD pricing when they moved to 16nm, prices already have dropped to 35 cents per GB for their SSDs.Â*Micron reportedly has reduced sales ... SSD NAND Flash storage price war
sweet when should we expect the high capacity SSD for HDD prices.

Yeah, prices have dropped through the floor the first half of the year. $65 or less for a 120 GB SSD or 240 GB for under $100.... pretty good deal if anyone is still on the fence about them. 🙂

Bring it on, if it keeps dropping I might eventually move my entire system over to SSD (with the more important stuff on the Samsung 512 GB Pro which apperently can do over a Petabyte before it craps out) and only use mechanical drives for external backups.

I bought two 256GB SanDisk Extreme II SSD drives this past year for $250 each, and I love them. They quickly fell in price to something like $160 when on Amazon's lightning sale. Excellent products! The next time I'll buy an SSD is when I can get at least a 2TB drive for ~$600. I can't wait to finally be on a full SSD PC (well I'll keep a HDD just for pics & porn).

I want my PC to be like me, not moving at all but still getting stuff done faster, cheaper and more economically than the mechanical .... humans 0.o

Prices coming down is good. I may try and grab another 512 GB Vertex 4 if the price is right. 1TB RAID 0 😀

Just went with a Crucial M550 m.2 drive. Prices seem pretty fair as it is.
