to say it right away, not blaming hilbert here, can only report what he gets. lol, right. lets use TLC (as in low grade) nand for something as important as a flight data recorder... not that i have recently seen the insides of a non commercial unit, but they usually come sealed (no user access) and so far have chips directly soldered to boards. even if it was usable as a sensor logging drive on experimental/trainer etc type of craft, it would still be a couple of month maybe even a year before it would be "certified" by companies/gov/mil and allowed for use.
