Looks like a cash grab.

So another music artist trying for a cash grab, well at least he hasn't quite gone as far as Alex Mauer, then again suing Zenimax could be classed as just as mad.
Repugnant... really, did he chose that wording because if it's to add some sort of moral weight to his argument it doesn't work, makes him look more like an idiot because the adverts are many things but I wouldn't use the word 'repugnant'.
The Goose
Perhaps they should of used the Status Quo version

Lol! Maybe he is lucky and win the lawsuit.

It's a cash grab, sure, but that's why you have contracts and abide by them.

I'm surprised it's only 1 million. Sue for most you can get. They knew what they were doing when ZeniMax / Bethesda went behind his back & used the song anyway. Time to pay up.

Give me a break. Fallout, how many games have been published in the franchise so far and he is objecting to the violence. What part of weapon modifications is not understood? Main concept most likely. Would tell him to buzz off and refile without violence being one of the grounds for his objection. What were the projectiles being shot...Nerf darts? Another artist out of touch with the world the rest of us live in.

The guy is nearly 80, i doubt he he would have even played the original games.
Not saying it's definitely not a cash grab, but it's not impossible that he was misled about the content.

Has every right to sue them, How much money did Fallout 4 make??? They schould at the very least give the man his Million dollars.
A similar Incident occured here in Chicago, Jewel was using poster-Adds for Michael Jordan hot-dogs ( or similar) he sued there ass and won, More power to him.Cracks me up how they always say its a free country,Nothing is free here in the United-States! lol.

Unless there was a prior agreement and the singer is trying to squeeze out more money I don't see why they shouldn't get compensated.
xodius80
I don't find it a money grab, if they liked the song they should have asked the artist for price and permission just how they ask us for money for their games.
They are a big company shame on them for the double standards.

It is not a cash grab. It is an honest gripe. The main problem is that the contract was not carried out according to the article. That is it. Justifying that the objection is based on violence weakens the argument because it alludes to that he was mislead; either by his rep agency or by Bethesda. Worse yet, did not fully comprehend what his song was being associated with. Like with all contracts, not fully comprehending what you are signing is not an excuse or grounds for filing suit. Do not think Bethesda did the misleading. Nothing against the artist. Allowing someone else to make these kinds of decisions for you and rely on their word what it is, begs for issues like this to happen.
How much was the deal for and how much did the rep stand to lose if the deal went south?

Zenimax is evil isn't it? Zenimax sues Facebook. I'm confused, who is bad and who is evil? In 50 years Dion's songs will be played and loved. I know where my hearth goes, stay away from that Company.
