Like the GPU space, scales linearly between capacity and price now. Gone are the days of good prices for hardware.

its not a shingled disk, so theres no firmware level remapping afoot.

I haven't been in the market for traditional HDDs in a while, imagine my surprise at current HDD prices when one of my backup disks died.
