It is not like Games for consoles are developed on consoles and each build is tested there. Developer Mode may be available, but moving stuff around all the time is kind of waste of time.

I would argue it's misleading, especially since the developer essentially admits it won't run at the preset the demo did on the PC configuration. I think these ads should indicate whether they are a vertical slice, run on different hardware, etc. It would lead to less issues when the games actually ship and look significantly worse than the ads.

They did for Halo 2 i think. There was a lot more action going on in the demo than the final game running on a retail Xbox.

With the exception that it's deceptive and ingenuousness. For every person that is transparent and upfront about the capabilities of both games and consoles, there are probably a dozen or so others that are willing to keep quiet and deceive consumers. Sometimes it's blatant--like a video game's scene. Sometimes its malicious, like toting the features of an upcoming console, only have to have said features evaporate when it actually hit the market. The industry is long overdue for a healthy of regulation, and will never get one despite it being a multi-billion, if not trillion dollar industry.

Don't know why this game needed a 2080ti. Graphics are nothing to shout about. Looks like it could be easily made on todays consoles. Heck look at TLOU2. lol
