Hilbert arent these 6950XT's actually using KXTX GPU compared to 6900XT XTXH?

Quite the improvement surprisingly.

this is very very impressive for a refresh. and while some may complain about the price - there is no gpu in this price range that can touch it so it really gives you performance at the price. also really, really like the white shroud. too bad i bought the 69000xt in March, but at least i paid msrp.

No testing with the new 5800X3D ?

Impossible, it would literally take 4 weeks to retest all cards. say 25 cards x 3 resolutions x 10 benchmarks ... = 750 benchmark runs. And let's face it, the 5950X is no slouch exactly either.

Cyberpunk 2077 RT shows much more difference in FPS at 1080P on guru3d than on other sites when comparing 6900xt vs 6950xt?

For a minimal bump in specs, this yielded much better results than I expected. It is a little amusing though, because the 3090 Ti was obviously released just so Nvidia could claim they have the fastest GPU in just about everything. Then this comes out and, while not a better overall product, it rains a little bit on Nvidia's parade.

I found these results quite impressive, all things considered. I didn't expect so big a difference from what looked like quite minor changes. Too bad the AMD first generation RT is so lacking (compared to Nvidia 2nd gen, which is the direct competitor). You can see the GPU has all the other things in the right place, it's just the RT that's causing problems.

It's a Beast with fast DDR4 & IF at 1:1 Note: It can live a little longer if one take Curve Optimiser and make it Top notch at 5100MHz+ 😛 (IMhO Your CPU is capable). and then at 5.1GHz is one of the fastest out there.

This review makes me feel like AMD chose a very flawed memory configuration for RX 6xxx series. Just a meager ~2.6% increase in clocks but ~11% increase in memory bandwidth resulted in such a huge gains for some games, especially at 1440p and 1080p.

Wow, even with the leaks I wasn't expecting this, the 6950xt is a beast. Seeing as you can buy these around MSRP, the price point isn't horrific for what you get either. I bet the biggest sticking point to these GPUs is going to be the monitors before long... at this rate we'll have sub-$1000 cards that genuinely capable of 4k/120hz(or144hz) soon. I have to wonder how many people have a monitor decent enough to make sense with these cards though?

fastest card in town so long as you don't like eye candy. I bet it mauls CSGO too.

Really the 6900xt would have the same performance if it had the same power limit as the 6950. Don't get me wrong the bandwidth increase helps for sure... But my 6900xt under water, and drawing about 380watts peak, gets a score of 22000-23000 on TimeSpy.

Performance increase at 4k is roughly equivelant to the increase in bandwidth, as expected. Would have like to see these gpu's with a proper bus width... like 512 bit.

It seems that AMD has increased the Fclk frequency from 1940 MHz to 2050 MHz on 6950xt models, which is why we are seeing a good increase in performance on a simply refreshed product.

Or 384 Bit memory bus,Its memory constrained.

Yes, wouldn't work with the current memory configuration - only 256 bit or 512 bit.

The performance increase is higher than I anticipated, especially when tweaking/overclocking. I had pretty much given up on overclocking for the last couple of generations or so since it rarely seemed to be worth it. Price aside, this is an attractive product here.

Fast g6 with same 256bit bus but with 512mb of infinity cache.

Undying:

Fast g6 with same 256bit bus but with 512mb of infinity cache.
It's just a bandaid that cache - doesn't provide near the same as a full fat bus 🙂
