Samsung 970 EVO 500GB is cca 100 Eur what means box is for free. If could be open it makes sense instead of buying M.2 drive

Yeah it doesn't make sense if it were based off of m.2 tech for this price point. Being that on can easily purchase like you've said a comparable setup and doing it all by yourself. Wondering if there are even external boards allowing one to setup an m.2 in an external enclosure like configuration. Haven't looked honestly as I have no need for external storage ATM. Have mad crazy fast storage inside the puter as it is. @Hilbert Hagedoorn the Sabrent quad m.2 setup is INSANELY FAST!! 12.8GB/s reads and 18.8GB/s writes!!! And four TB of it baby!! Well like 3.6 after provisioning took place...
