Battery seems good. All ov er phone seems good. I read detailed articles. No complain . Just wish a new design. They do same as Apple does. But nobody moans. They should do waterproof and sd card on S6 anyway. This is a marketing trick. Leaving good stuff for next product. As apple does the same imo.

Too expensive, but at least they listen to their customers.

S7 Edge is just an absolutely gorgeous phone. Camera also looks to be top notch.

S7 will be a better chioce i guess. But damn i remember holding s6 edge was pain. The corners frame i mean is hard to hold.

I'm eligible for an upgrade at the end of the year with my S5 contract - wonder if I could get an S7 / EDGE Wasn't planning on going Samsung again, but looks pretty nice

S7 Edge would be my pick this time around, such a pretty phone. But the price tag - ugh. And I already got the S6 so...

Stuck on S5 for foreseeable future. Only want something with removable battery.

lol my i9300 still goes strong. Just updated to CM13(android 6.0). Everything runs butter smooth. What's the need for a fancy phone anyway?

S3 has 720x1280 rez screen, but when you start sticking 1080p / 1440p and higher screens into them, you need higher spec hardware to push the higher pixel numbers If you could put a 1080p+ screen into your S3, you'd see why 🙂 That, along with games that are starting to become much more graphically intense for mobile now 1GB RAM on droid is pretty low too Then things like the camera are improved, I love the photos my S5 can take, amazing for a smartphone, along with 1080p 60fps video capture, or 4k 30fps (Not sure why it can do that, as the screen is only 1080p lol)

Guess I'm oldschool or something. I really don't need anything better than HD on a 4,5' phone. If I'm gonna watch a movie or something from a phone I really don't expect anything good anyways. A 4K screen won't make much of a difference on a small screen. (If I wan't a good experience I'll go to the cinema or watch it on my PC.) I don't need a good GPU neither. Gaming on a phone sucks IMO. And if i play, then it's certainly not something demanding. I do my gaming on PC. 1gb ram is enough. I don't run bloatware. Battery could be better.(noticed some 4000mah batteries for S3 on ebay) But it gets me through the day easily and on idle lasts about a week. Camera is bad, but then again I'm not gonna do some serious photography with it... if i really care about quality, why not buy a camera?! But... what it really comes down to is money. You have it or you don't, I don't XD

3000 and 3600mAh for 1440p 'always on' displays? :heh:

Nor do I, I got my S5 free on a contract - I don't have half a grand or more to blow on a phone, but I picked the best one I could get for the lowest contract price (£28 p/m @ 24 months)

I bought my (second hand - warehouse leftover) S3 for 180€ in october 2013. fantaskarsef Do higher density screens take more energy in your opinion? I think this really isn't an issue. More pixels=smaller pixels=less power draw per pixel= similar power draw between all screen resolutions

Costs way too much. At that price (750 € for S7 here in Finland) one would expect it to have USB-C.

It's an AMOLED screen. The always on is like a couple hundred pixels being lit. It barely effects life at all.

I'm actually surprised it doesn't have Type-C. I don't think it's a deal breaker but all the competition has it now and I'd like to see the standard adopted as quickly as possible.

Still using touchjizz? Bet it'll still take them months to give updates to android, well until they release the S8 and lose interest. Never been a fan of Samsung, overpriced and terrible software.

[QUOTE=fantaskarsef Do higher density screens take more energy in your opinion? I think this really isn't an issue. More pixels=smaller pixels=less power draw per pixel= similar power draw between all screen resolutions I don't think the actual screen uses more power, but since the pixels are closer together, you need more backlight and obviously better (and more powerhungry) hardware to support it

The pixels emit their own light in those panels iirc

Yes they do. It does not need backlights like led displays. Closer to plasma here.
