Cool, hopefully Dolphin emu on android will be able to run at decent frames on this.
I use a nokia with unlimited battery life to text and call.

Cool, think I'm due an upgrade in April-May time so hopefully these will be available. Been ages since I had a Samsung phone! I want the aluminium full body one, think thats going to be the top spec one! Would be quite funny if I do get it, my phone will have a higher resolution that my computer monitor! Will have to order one of those Qnix displays soon I think!

No one chose HTC one's metal body, over GS4 (i dont understand why). To me, when you pay 700$ for some smartphone, it should feel like a 700$ smartphone, not a plastic toy slab :/.
Dont get me wrong, Gs4 is a great device but i dont understand why they cant add metal body to it. Add a metal body option for +100$, I am in for that. :banana:

IIRC the S5 will be the first (Samsung phone) to have a full aluminium uni-body.

I'm looking to upgrade my S3 in August when my current contract finishes but with T-Mobile taking so damn long to issue updates for the phone - I'm still on v4.1.2 can you believe it - then I really don't think the S5 is for me. I love the design of the HTC phones more and may even go for an iPhone to compliment my iPad mini 2 and iPad 4. Plenty of time still to decide. I'm not sure a phone with a 5" screen needs a 1440p resolution though if it is going to eat the battery life. I think my S3's 720p screen is still crisp and sharp for its size so 1080p is more than sufficient for me, especially as video content above 1080p is rare at the moment.

And the problems will start with it, I want to see a statistics where aluminium case is more harm resistant than plastic, plastic is more elastic to any harm, good luck with aluminium scratches. They shouldn't listen to the crowd and also make a smaller phones.

Ah, well that could be something that would change my mind about not buying that phone then. I find the current design of the S3 and S4 to be a bit bland personally so a change of design and materials would be nice.

You want statistics buy a phone and drop it for several times... and good luck with cracked plastic...
Worst thing is that there is super-ultra-durable plastic but no manufacturer will use it because your phone won't break and you won't have to replace it sooner that you expect (because its body is made of frkn fragile piece of crap)
Anyway, samsung 5? 0 fgs given last two models is an insult to a user compared to competition, what I saw is just crap loads of marketing and slight redesign, and please have in mind what samsung actually can do. S2 was a decent thing, except lack of white colour...

I've dropped both my Galaxy Nexus, S4 and Nexus 5 plenty of times, I've never had an issue aside from minor scratching, and my first GNex screen cracking when it was dropped from over 8 feet onto concrete (plastic still wasn't cracked though despite it landing on its side). So I don't know why your plastic cracks.
That being said, I definitely like the premium feel of aluminum but it also has its issues. The radio design needs to accommodate for the RF shielding the aluminum causes. It also conducts heat significantly quicker and retains it for longer.
Honestly while the S4 gets hate for the plastic, I think most people just hated it because it felt like ****. Its possible to use plastic and still have a premium feel. The backing on the Nexus 7 for instance feels perfect. Even the leather on the newer Note 3 is better than the cheap, slimy, gloss garbage that was on the back of the S4. As long as they correct that, they can continue with plastic and no one will really care.

It's very possible to use plastic and still have the phone feel like it's a "premium" device. Pick up a Blackberry Z10... It's got a plastic body and it's a very well built phone. If it ran Android...I'd still have it.

About time, I've been waiting for the Samdung S5 because my service provider are actually owned by a near monopoly who keep 99% of the good phones to their more expensive company (more expensive contracts) and the S5 will be the only high end phone offer. Should offer anyway.
They'll be a year apart by the time it hits stores.
After holding some aluminum cased phones I have to say it really does make plastic cased phones seem cheap.
