lol I had the tab open since yesterday and just checked it now and ROM didn't sit right with me either and then I scroll down and saw your comment. I guess most by now, we are too used to saying/using "storage" instead. 😛

ROM stands for something that's not eMMC...

ROM is just flat-out wrong, since it stands for "Read Only Memory", which is something like your BIOS chip on your mainboard, which is typically only ever read. Yes, it can be flashed, but only with difficulty. Its not written to in normal operation. So calling the typical flash-based storage in a phone "ROM" is just factually wrong.

The BIOS chip still isn't just ROM. ROM would be a CD or DVD that isn't re-writable. BIOS chips are EPROM, Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory. But the point is, the Samsung phones aren't coming with a 1TB ROM.
