just ordered three, one to be lost/stolen, one for use and the third for spare parts - if possible to be dismantled (if not, that's it, one more for previous sections)

Hmm... a 4000mah battery, dual 12mbps "smart" camera, 128gb / 6gb can be found on a Huawei Mate 10 Pro for less than half the price. I think ~1k EUR is just insane.

1k$ the phone lol sry samsung , but I really prefer Huaway or Oneplus , with better support for update , no overlay (that means , better perf) , no slow down after months etc etc... ah yes and the price : half ......

Xiaomi is the best out there for me. 250 euro for sd660 + 6gb ram + 64gb + 3500mah? Can't ask for more.

For those that prefer huawei, good luck trying to unlock the bootloader and installing a custom firmware 😀 https://www.xda-developers.com/honor-huawei-bootloader-unlock-page-disappears/
buhehe:

Thank you, I had no idea... I recently bought one, right before the block happened. I'll never buy Huawei anymore if it stays like this, they can fu** off.
Did neither of you read the article? They know of the issue with the site being down and you can fill in a form as ask for an unlock code.
We're aware of the bootloader unlock page being down & apologize for the inconvenience it has caused. We have setup a form in the interim to request bootloader unlock codes. We thank you for your patience through all this. @xdadevelopers https://goo.gl/forms/ZdYFEQXRzly9e2Bt2 …

It seems like they make it more square than the S series just for the sake of differentiating it, otherwise it'd just be 0.18" bigger (6.4" vs 6.22" LOL) S9+ with a bluetooth stylus and bigger battery. Not to mention the price is absurd, it's $1.3K for the basic model from my provider. Let's not forget Mr. Tax/Robbery, making it more like $1.5K. The prices for all flagships these days must be at the limits of stupidity. The only reason I even have an S9+ is because its sales numbers were so abysmal that on a $50/m 2 year plan they were selling the S9+ for "only" $600 ($25 x 24 months) which was the lowest I've seen a flagship Samsung phone available for in years. When I think of that, even $600 (which was by far the best deal available) is a stupid price for a phone. The only reason such prices are possible is because it's an item everyone needs and are therefore less inhibited to spend stupid amounts on so long as it's split up over 2 years. They cost as much as laptops at this point. But I have to say, as much vitriol I have for Samsung, the experience with their phones (particularly the software) is so much better than Chinese companies like ZTE. I had a ZTE Axon 7, which was essentially the parts of a Galaxy S7 Edge (without the AMOLED being curved) plus a discrete Hi-Fi DAC/amp so it seemed great on paper... but the software was a nightmare to the point that I'm never buying from them again. Breath in the wrong direction and that phone gets bricked. I must have bricked that phone literally over 10 times. Luckily there is no permanently hard bricking a Snapdragon 835 device, there's always a way to recover it. TL;DR - As much as I dislike Samsung, particularly the scumbags at Samsung Canada, I'm sadly going to stick with their devices because I think it's the best overall experience available.

Great, Oneplus with their privacy scandals - at this point I'm wondering what the next one will be. And I don't understand why Huawei's bootloaders are locked by default. You know, the high-end phones from big manufacturers may have hiked up the prices but that doesn't change the fact that some phones are cheaper for a reason. I don't understand how people still trust Oneplus.

Just some opinion: weird, but somehow makes sense.[youtube=k05Q1k4A5ls]
