Well i have 1440p 60Hz and i am very happy, so ideal monitor for me would be: 1-4ms GTG 144Hz G-sync+Freesync true 10bit 40 inch not curved 4K Quantum dot Va panel and all this for 1000 euros 🙂
Asus P279UQ, its coming mate 🙂

FreeSync: Limiting framerates to a range of 45-~72 the world over. Don't you dare go above or below! Seriously, when will FreeSync monitors be improved to incorporate a broader range?

You can always tweak the FreeSync range with CRU to go much lower.

Why 4K @ 144Hz? Nothing can run that.

My 1080Ti can run thousands of games at 4K 144hz.

People should focus more on samsung instead of asus, its only the name why folk buy asus, they have poor IQ with poor colors and a unsharp picture.

I would NEVER take IPS Screen as they have terrible blacks , and blacks are almost everything. I seen my own eyes LG OLED TV, once you see it you can't look at normal screen anymore. that said currently VA panels are MUCH better than IPS, especialy samsung panels are great. (Just compare black levels vs any IPS)...

Dont generalize. Not all IPS are equal nor all VA equal. I have a couple IPS monitors that do .12 -.14 cd/m2 after calibration, which is pretty good. VAs, due to the better contrast ratios are able to produce better blacks, but not all. Some have 1200-1500:1 CR which is barely better than my 1000:1 IPS. Those that do 3000:1, have more noticeable deeper blacks but not necessarily 3x deeper (diminishing returns). Still, it is impressive (seen a 32" HP Omen VA up close). Photographers doing color critical work usually go with IPS since its a bit better than VA on that front. For entertainment/movies, VA can be great and has an edge over IPS. Gaming, IPS > VA, as the latter is generally poorer in lag/response times. I was about to pull the trigger on a 32" HP Omen (AMVA panel) but held off after reading a PRAD review. Most 32" displays seem to use VAs, probably the same panel. Still waiting for the right 32" monitor.

Hoping for that 4k 32" g-sync (would even consider freesync) monitor... 144hz, HDR, Quantum dot and IPS or VA. Its awesome to see PC monitor tech is finally moving, now just move faster!

Drop the curve and add 144hz instead. I hope curved screen trend dies very soon like 3D. They are just gimmick with very little benefit in real world use.
