Unless you're gaming with some wicked 1080ti SLI @ 4k, you would be a prime candidate for getting a VRR/Freesync TV.When you game on a high speed screen with a GPU that can't keep up you have screen tearing which is what VRR solves. But hey, since you've had one for years you're a pro at this, right? Right now, i wouldn't go 120Hz as 1080ti isn't g strong enough to keep FPS up A4k.
Not sure why you say "But hey, since you've had one for years you're a pro at this, right?" Like I don't know what I'm talking about yet you say pretty much what I said.o_O I have a 1080ti and I know it's not strong enough that's why I said that.

Lol really? Thats as good as it gets for TVs mate. Less than a single 60fps lag is not causing any problems...
incorrect. My sony bravia has less than 8ms input delay.

So this TV version of VRR, I take it not supported by NV cards? Or is this actually Freesync, but hey decided to name it VRR for marketing?

I gotta ask - what "4k bs"?

Isnt freesync just an enhanced version of VRR? Arent all VRR monitors essentially Freesync compatible? I think this is a HUGE step towards killing G-Sync / forcing Nvidia to support Freesync....
hehe yeah... I'd like to see that happening. I've heard it's supposed to get low temps in hell this week 🙄

1. 4x more pixels/informations on the screen. 2. Sharper textures, much less aliasing. 3. Much more suitable for bigger screens. Just better workspace.. Btw. UHD it's abit more than (just 4K) - wider color space - HDR.. Ofcourse there is grain of truth - about this brainwashed BS. Some brands like wanna sell poor quality - 4K/UHD. And brainwash their customers, that they need Just 4K.. like other aspects going on second plan.. blabla.. But You really not see positive difference my friend? Personally im using both. And back into 1080p is a huge difference, in picture quality.

People have different needs, priorities when it comes to displays. My no.1 need is large screen size. Which is why I went for a 4k TV. 40" screen mounted to wall just above my desk has served me well for past year. The level of immersion in games, movies, productivity has surpassed any performance advantages of PC monitors I've owned previously (been on 1440p 120hz for years). Will not go back to smaller screen size ever.

This is great news indeed. Surely driven by the fact that console GPUs are from AMD.
