Ill be upgrading my 1700X to this one or the new 2800X i realy need a bit more core speed , iam currently running my cpu @ 3975mhz if these manage to get all cores at 4400 it will truly be a beast for gaming and probably on par with the 8700k for gaming .

That's looking great if true.
Will certainly be looking out for a 2600... that'll be sweet value.

Kind of underwhelming.. I was hoping for a 4.2/.3 boost and hopeful ability to take it .4/.5 clocking. I doubt the headroom for ocing will increase. Gonna wait for Zen 2 - unless of course this information is inaccurate.

Zen+ is more of a fine tuning for Zen2 I think. I will be interested most in seeing the efficiency numbers compared to Zen. I will be waiting for Zen 2 regardless, if not Zen3. I am pretty happy right now.

Looks good! The previous leak (forgot about which processor / from where) also hinted at some IPC improvement even if you factor out clockspeed.
Combined looks solid. Maybe not warranting an immediate upgrade if you already have 1000 series CPU but promising nonetheless.
Though I might get one anyway, just to:
- support AMD / Ryzen in general
- support a company that retains CPU socket / chipset compatibility over generations
- support a company that uses reasonable pricing
EDIT:
- support a company that uses soldered heatspreaders in entire product lineup (Ryzen, Epyc, Threadripper)

I said it would be 400mhz increase max, I wasn't far.
As for performance, the IPC improved slightly and the clocks too, so we should see the expected improvement from a refinement.
Hopefully this time AMD can manage a launch without memory issues.

Oh yeah that's a good question. Especially as faster supported memory could push the performance a notch further still.
Though given Ryzen is pretty stable with memory support up to 3466 speed atm, I don't see why this would become an issue.

2700X @ 4.2Ghz (It's XFR or Turbo?)
2800X @ 4.3-4 ??
Looks great. 😀

Can't wait for those 8 cores @ 4300 or more !
(Wanted Threadripper but I feel like I won't be able to use it properly... so scaling down)
My current Intel cpu (Broadwell-E 6800K) is only stable at 4.1 without going overboard with voltage and heat, and even so it was somewhat disappointing (not much better than the Ivy Bridge before it).
Perhaps 2018 is the real year of the upgrade !

I honestly completely forgot the 1800x exists.. I've recommend the 1700x so much. My bad.. lol

Does that mean the 2800x could potentially have a turbo of 4.4ghz? Sounds pretty great to me.
