Seeing how I use Mumble and MSIAB when playing games with friends, looks like I won't give this game a try after all. Not until they relax or reverse these ridiculous policies.

Those who started this hype story in news should really read Bungie statements before trying to misinterpret them. Using any of such applications do not result in ban, D2 anticheat will simply restrict overlay related part of their functionality as they are explicitly declaring: "Hardware performance monitors will be able to function alongside Destiny 2 PC, but any form of overlay functionality will be restricted."

Hmm ran Destiny 2 yesterday for over an hour with MSI Afterburner running - no ban here ? Although I didn't have the OSD running, but only temp monitoring on the taskbar. I guess that won't get you banned.

Guess many PC gamers/streamers are going to be pissed because of this. Bungie has to proof to D2 gaming community that because of their strict policies cheat protection works flawlessly because if cheaters somehow find the way to bypass their cheat protection and infiltrate into game this game is doomed, massive number of players will gonna ask for refund, Bungie is gonna be flooded with petitions to loose these policies, those willing to buy game on day one will wait to see how situations is going to develop... nothing more than lost money and headaches for Bungie team. Hope Bungie is not going to mess up this...

Well, preventing players from ever playing your game is one way of reducing the amount of cheaters... Though this sounds like a strategy that's not economically viable in the long run. Guess they'll blame the PC players for the low sales that are sure to come for the PC version if they don't resolve the issues contained in this anti-cheat functionality soon.

I've seen the some of the threads claiming this, but i've seen far more replies that says they have no problem running MSI Afterburner og other thirdparty application with overlay in the background. The overlay did just not show up in D2. I have not myself tried running MSI Afterburner with D2, but Discord Overlay did not work in D2, but did not ban me. A friend also tried gamecapture with OBS in exclusive fullscreen. Did not work, but did not ban him.

I use MSI Afterburner in Logitech LCD G19....do you think bann me? I dont understand this company ;(

Idk if it will ban you, but the official statement from Bungie is no, but clearly something is tripping their anticheat so i would disable/turn off everything that you don't need for gaming.

Using hwinfo + Rtss in Destiny 2 does not show anything indeed. However using overlay from Geforce Experience, Ansel, can view the fps counter did not try to stream live though. No ban still and believe wont happen. Although it is stupid decision from bungie. Game is great .

I have Bandicam and like to record video's of video games for fun, can Bandicam be used to record the game? I haven't purchased the game yet but this is one thing that will stop me from buying it if true.

I played 6 hours yesterday with MSI afterburner, overlay didnt work and NZXT cam in the background i wasnt banned.
