Hilbert Hagedoorn:

Is NVIDIA planning a release of even faster RTX 40 graphics cards? Recently, a leak confirmed that NVIDIA is developing an 800W GPU with possibly 48GB of memory, dubbed the TITAN GPU. Further discover... Rumor: Further GeForce RTX 4090 Ti specs emerge
I doubt the differences between the 4090 and 4090 ti will amount to much more than 10% (more likely less), given that the MASSIVE difference in core count between the 4080 and 4090 doesn't scale proportionally, and those even have a big difference in bus width, which will be the same between the 4090 and 4090 ti.

I say, it won't have 142 SMs. Maybe 136 to 140, but they will keep the fully functional chips for the much more profitable pro cards. But still, I have my questions on wheather this will become reality in itself, or if it will pay off to get one over a 4090, even when it launches.

I might buy one just to really annoy people who were already annoyed at 4090 owners 😀:D:D

Why just one? Better to have a whole stack on the wall. 😱

If its fully enabled chip with 48gb , I bet its gonna cost around $2500-3000 usd

Isnt it little too early? Nvidia likes to milk customers with such a product right before they release new gen.

Pretty OK price for a workstation card. A tool for work is going to make money, so this is great 🙂

Someone install the suicide nets for the 4090 buyers.

Not if they disable its pro features on the firmware/driver side like they did with Titan cards in the past. And I'm not sure if 18176 is fully enabled.

As a 4090 buyer, i can assure you that i would not be annoyed even a little bit. Honestly the only reason i went to the 4090 rather than 4080 was the amount of ram. For the price and performance of the 4080, i find that 16GB of ram is unreasonable considering i have games using about that already with my 4090. I don't see a Ti version making any sense as my peasant non Ti is constantly being cpu bottlenecked at 4k with everything turned on. It would bother me if i didn't consistently surpass 120hz that my monitor supports. More ram ensures that a few years down the line i don't get limited like i did with my 2070s and its paltry 8GB.

You assume anyone buying a 4090 did it for bragging rights, please see my previous post.

I hear that concerning the memory. I have a few use cases for more memory and honestly my RTX5000 with 16gb is a limiting factor in some situations (for work and playing with models). I don't see myself doing another upgrade unless it's to something with 24gb+ That said, there are absolutely 4090 owners who will be irked by any newer cards. It's baffling to most of us but there are folks out there who buy hardware just for imaginary "e-peen" points...

I'm not liking this trend. I have no interest in a workstation or gaming rig that is going to actually pull that much under load. Assuming you're running anything else a decent CPU, we're getting into "tripping the breaker"-territory for a lot of homes. No interest here in running a dedicated outlet just to turn on my gaming PC, not to mention that would be some horrific heat output.

The very embodiment of "ripping my wallet to own the leebs!!" DAmn you for having money and spending it in stupid ways, I hope your 4090TI is 5000USD just to get ff*** like the 3090ti buyer, you are the cause of this market pricing insanity and hope you get your rifle licese revoked /SSSSSSSSS Lets see if it takes the bait. 😉

I'm actually thinking Nvidia will be making a dual die gpu... a 4090X2 and that is what would be the 48gb 800w variant.
https://forums.guru3d.com/data/avatars/m/294/294824.jpg
48G is great for a Workstation, as someone who does ML. But won't be using that for just "Gaming" You're lucky to use the 4090 for games atm. However, it will come down to price as Nvidia just released their workstation GPUs with that amount of memory, and its $6000-7000 USD... So I am thinking the Titan will be $5000 USD min.
