People who create (or follow, or believe) conspiracy theories will never believe an official statement, they are too wrapped around in their own head and can't get out of it.

This launcher has been nothing but trouble since they pushed it out. GTA V needed a repair after moving and somehow had to re-acquire 20GB of data. GTA V STILL crashes to this day since the launcher launched and it doesn't even pickup my GTA IV copy in Steam. I thought the whole point of the launcher was to bring all the Rockstar games in to one launcher?

Day 1 buy for me, no regrets. I expected bugs. RockStar makes games not launchers, even Steam was buggy when it first came out. Also this is the first pc release for the updated Rage engine. I expected game bugs also. This is what the next GTA is going to be running on.

I just ordered an 2080ti to upgrade my 2070 Super purely to play RDR2 but I haven't bought it yet... I was on the brink of ordering the game but so far they haven't showed me any benefit that I will gain from buying the game right now. Let them sort out the crap first and I'll reconsider. They better hope the cracked version doesn't release earlier than they sort out their shit. Because I'm honest that I don't pay for crap game ports that they had 1 full year for and do not manage to optimize well for PC hardware and comes with a shitload of bugs on release. I'll happily support developers that take care of their stuff and test a game before release. Bought Anno 1800 recently and I'm happily investing on World of Warships. $60 is a steep price for a game... better get it right. It's more of a moral thing for me than financially. But game prices are just outrageous for lower income countries. And then delivering a piece of crap like this is... SPESHUL. Let's wait it out a bit. Patience is a virtue.

Havent bought the game yet. Lol... did buy the 2080ti. Waiting for optimisations and a bug free version.

Minor issues here and there but loving this game since day one. I disagree with the negative assessments, wholeheartedly. If this is what a "letdown" is, what a crap release looks like, then I hope for more letdowns in the future.

No doubt man, I've been absolutely absorbed by this game since the start. Probably the best open world action/adventure game since Witcher 3 in my opinion.
