These are great news!
Blues, browns, extra macro keys, cool per-key backlight (or cheaper full/no backlight), integrated wrist rest... So now I'm glad I haven't bought Blackwidow 2013 yet.
I hope they'll be available over here soon, so I can throw money at them.

To be honest it looks great. If the price is right I just might buy one...

Definitely. I've had Razer Tarantula for a few years and thought I'd never change it, but once I tried a mech keyboard, I'm never going back. The Tarantula is the best rubber dome keyboard I have and the best in terms of layout, but right now it sits in it's box.
I'm typing on a Qpad MK-50 keyboard with Cherry MX Red switches. It's ugly on the outside, but it gets the job done with full NKRO through P/S2 (6 through USB).
I bought Razer BlackWidow for my first mech kb, but returned it, because the space bar was digging into my thumb (seemed too sharp instead of rounded) and Cherry MX Blue were not my switches. Then I got the Corsair Vengeance K90 (was on offer with a good price), because the K60 had issues with letters fading on first day of use (that might have changed now, but when I researched the forums were riddled with complaints). The K90 has Cherry MX Red switch, which is soft and that's how I like it, but it felt kind of "sandy" when pressing them. Definitely a low quality unit (or product) which also came with the EU layout that has a large enter key. I hate that and I was used to the US layout of my Tarantula. Returned it the same day and after a few weeks of more research I landed on Qpad's website. The MK 50 is the cheapest keyboard they have, but it's still expensive when you add the 20 euro shipping. You can choose your switch and layout which is great. I decided to go with Cherry MX Red again and these feel amazing. Nothing like the Corsair K90 disappointment.
The Ryos looks good, but will probably be very expensive with all that customization. I want to try the other switches on the market, but there's no retailer in my town that offers mech keyboards, sadly. The Brown switch is similar to the red one, but with tactile added to it. That feels good when typing so from all the options around, Logitech G710 + seems like the thing I'm looking for - dampening rings under every key, backlighting, dedicated media keys, removable wrist wrest (not going to remove it, but it's an option), macro keys (not going to use those, but it's an option) and the keycaps are probably laser etched. The only drawback for me is the price and the orange color on the left. Otherwise, it's perfect. Here are some brands and their mech keyboards in case you're interested:

Are there no wireless mechanical keyboards? Strange since there are MANY wireless mice but no keyboards...

Both my Roccat mice have been absolutely phenomenal. If my leopold brown ever ends up dying than ill probably pick one of these up. Imo, for all around general use browns are probably the best. Black/Red are more for FPS and blues are more for RTS (again in my opinion). I play both a lot of starcraft/counterstrike + typing and whatnot and I always keep coming back to browns.

Ok those of you who know a bit more than me about mechanical keyboards. Which brand and version is good ?

Pick one up sometime next week. If recommendations are good.

gigabyte osmium, it could withstand a nuke blast.

macdaddy, find a retailer that has more than one mech keyboard. You NEED to feel the switches before you decide. I did a blind guess with the Reds (offering least resistance) and I love them, but I'm dying to try out Browns. I liked the tactile feel of the Blues so yeah...

There really is a big difference between rubber domes and mechanical k/b.. I have tried my friends with red switches and its not for me, way to easy to press, need more resistance and would really like to try something as tactile as possible.
I bought the Logitech G710+ and was pretty disapointed to be honest, I though the brown switches would be same as blue just more silent, but in my opinion they where not much more tactile than the Roccat Isku keyboard im sitting at right now (a rubber dome keyboard).
And another deal-breaker for me was that everytime i pressed a switch all the way down the backplate of the keyboard would resonate and make a "humming sound" so I had to be listening to music when typing because that sound really anoyed me. If I where looking at the g710+ I would wait until they make an updated version.
Im considering a Filco with blue switces but I just really would like something with media keys, and they are really expensive. I could consider this, just seems to miss dedicated media keys and I really wish they would make the backlight color customizable!
but no doubt roccat is a good campany that knows how to make gaming peripherals! And love the fact they are going to make these with all the different switches! 🙂

site. They explain the tech very well, I'm sure it will help you to make a decision on the different key types.
