Hi!
I'm looking for a silent card to improve a bit my PC (Dell Optiplex 5040 with a GT 1030, also passively cooled).
I'm not a "hard-gamer", I just want to improve a bit my system with another silent card, and it seems this Palit KalmX is the only option available, but I'm concerned about the heat.
Anyone knows if it's possible to "underclock" a bit the speed of the GPU and the Memory of this card to keep the temperature low?
I suppose that even lowering for instance a 10% of the speed of the GPU a memory it would be a lot better than my GT 1030... Is this correct?
There would be any problem doing that (apart from the obvious performance decrease)?

35fps at 1440p in Witcher 3 max settings is actually pretty damn good considering the card used. Drop to medium/high at 1080p and it should hit 60fps with ease. Not bad for a £180 but you could get an 8GB RX580 for that price if you shop around enough for a TON more performance.

Thanks Oblivious!
That is my idea, improve my PC a bit, and this seems to be the only option available for a silent card, and since the 1650 looks a lot better than 1030 I suppose there wouldn't be any problem to underclock a bit the speed of the card, but I didn't know if that was even possible to do (without problems), but since you say that you've tried it in other cards, I suppose it will be possible in this too.

Jberto - does your GT 1030 doe 4K at 60hz? If so can you verify how much memory it has? I'm checking out the
