I wish this was $700 (I don't really thats still insanely high).... right now in the UK its £1150 or $1,289.71... Honestly PC gaming over the last 5ish years has become a joke, I want to love it but prices are jumping to the moon. I had one of the earlier Maximus extreme boards, back then think I got it from 250-300 pounds edit: ASUS Maximus IV Extreme Z, was the motherboard (which back then was quite crazy and had all the bells and whistles back then). That said sounds like if you want a decent board just get a hero and save yourself 800 pounds

I'd be all over this motherboard if it was the same price or very near the x570 Dark Hero. But at twice the price in my country, that's a very clear NO to Asus.

brother i'm with you even though it's "only" $200 more here. screw 'em and screw Asus' B series line as well - when MSI can sell a x670(vanilla) w/ wifi for the price of Asus' B series - that's a solid no. and i'm a borderline fanboy who's dropped many a pretty penny with ROG over many years
