$299 is entry level for a good chair. but it will still have "pleather" if it's a gaming chair. smart asses buy mesh 😛:p:p
It's not "pleather" - it's "pleatherette" - as in fake pleather.:p You want "pleather"? - buy a Ferrari chair and not keonessseggggggggg. You want mesh? - buy a mercedes chair - their chair have breathing effect that will make you ass fell warm and fuzzy inside.

My office chair is from a reputable brand and 17 or 18 yo. Costed 250€ back then. Yes it's still good, changed the wheels only.
That was one thing I refused to skimp on. A real office chair approved by physiotherapists with a 10 year warranty. No branding crap on it. It was around £500 ish in 2018. No creaks or squeaks, nothing.

I want one! But only if they break after 1 year of use just like their mice.

You could buy a 2nd hand Bride seat, then mod it to be used as normal pc hair, for less than that.

One can nearly furnish their own house except kitchen appliance for the SAME money. LOL!

$1300? What the hell are they thinking? Those are the same chairs that companies buy then stick their brand/label on them. They're all the same. $1300 LOL!

What grinds my gears is that the same brand now has chairs drawn by "famous" designers, but look uncomfortable af. These bucket seat chairs can go to hell where they belong, I'll stay with my simple office chair with good cushion for my butt.

You know what is the best gaming chair? A good office chair.

I worked for many years at a family owned office furniture and supply store in NH. I first started out assembling the furniture and delivering it before advancing to sales and warehouse management. During all that time I was exposed to all the major brands, went to conventions and visited several manufacturers. I learned what made a good chair from the ground up. I'm saying all this so you might take my word on what I'm about to say. The most important piece of furniture anyone owns is the chair they sit in at work or home. Aside from sleeping, the chair (and sofa) are the most often used pieces of furniture when we are awake; so the impact on posture cannot be ignored. When people came into the store to outfit an office we would always advocate they spend most of their money on decent chairs. In today's world of gaming it has only made this all the more important. I have been using a Herman Miller Aeron chair for well over twenty years. For taking care of your back it is a work of art. And I know as I had a back injury including sciatica when I was in my early twenties. The Aeron chair literally nurtures good posture while using it. It's expensive but worth every penny. I bought mine in 1999 for around $900. Today they sell for around $1200. I bought a reconditioned one off eBay for $600 as a second chair. The company I worked for also bought one for me and I sat in that daily for over 11 years working as a computer programmer. So, long story short...a decent office chair that costs some cash for quality is a smart investment for anyone.

With the mesh backs that breathe and the adjustable lumbar. Plus there is tension settings on these chairs. With good office chairs the back can either tighten up or completely allow you to sink in. Same for the lumbar or your backside. With good high end memory foam.

Wait until you hear the stories of crippled gamers 10 - 20 years from now from all their time on gaming chairs including the bad posture they've developed.
