virtual 7.1 Basically you buy a stereo headset for 120 euro, that will break after 4 months

Yep, marketing this as 7.1 is very shady. I have the Razer Synapse Software running on my notebook, and that virtual 7.1 works on the simplest of heaphone. On my PC I use the Razer Tiamat though, since my onboard sound actually puts out 7.1 channel audio.

As they had to emphasize the inclusion of digital-to-analog converter... I HAVE TO ASK: where can I buy some usb-headphones without one? Please. I have to have them!

Aren't you on a mission of hate in every Razer topic 🙂 I have been using my Razer Megalodons for 7 years now, without a single problem. Also bought me for 10 euro replacement cushions for them, see they don't try to make me buy a new headset, but provide me with ways to prolong the life of the current one. The cushions got dirty from wear, otherwise in perfect condition. And the 7.1 is more than adequate. My next headset might be this one, or the next generation it depends on when the Megalodons will finally leave me.

You can't. Bypassing USB means digital data being sent from it (USB). Digital data have to be converted to analog to be audio reproducible. You can buy DAC with USB interface and connect analog headphones to it.

=)) My post was a sarcasm! I just happen to hate when companies advertise "features" which are not features at all, thinking users are idiots. They were not advertising some ultra-high-quality DAC with some unheard-of SNR, no, they tried to spin it like specifically their Headphones have DAC inside, and like no other usb headphone has one...
