HMMMMMM..... Interesting indeed. That is if these are for just 1080p recommended specs and all. Just might ha e to scoop this one up on the ❌ just so I don't have to buy a new GPU. That is unless this iteration allows multi GPU support as well. Loved getting 200+fps at insane resolutions in part 2

If 1070 and Vega56 can max this out its gonna be fine. Game looks great though.

IF I play (and that is dependant on HH Reviewing it fully and completely) then, I'll simply point the internet adapter into a loop so it doesn't/can't connect to behesta, yet, will confirm it is connected to the internet. Feedback loop - Borg style.

Is that like blocking the games executable with a firewall?

It's like it.

How come recommended spec is Intel i7 4700K and AMD's side is Ryzen 1600x, when the Ryzen 5 1500x is pretty much identical they have the same base clock frequency hyper threading and i am sure the game will utilise more than 1 core so turbo is not really going to be a factor?

4770K is the same as 1500X but that processor is a ghost, it's AMDs fastest quad core based on Zen due to 16MB L3 cache, but the price has been awful, within 10% of the 1600.

They recommend the i7-4770 from Intel and 1600X from AMD. You need 6 core/12 thread AMD part to match a 4 core/8 thread Intel part? Does Intel pay for this subtle propaganda or does Intel really pwn overall per core performance?

Second one. To be honest first gen of ryzen ipc performance is on pair with haswell 4770/4790 only. If the game can use all 12threads 1600x will outperform it.

Not necessarily. [youtube=U17RLeIyq-0] They hardly even overclocked the 4770k while the 1600x @ 4.0 is 100mhz over what HH managed to do in his review of it. Had the 4770k been at 4.4ghz+ (which seems pretty common) it would have been had a substantial lead.

This^....and a 4790k is a different Beast altogether....even with ddr3.

I had a 1500x and now a 1600. I can tell you that this is rather bullshit. The 1500x equals a i7 4770/k with just a modest overclock. The R5 1600 euqals a 4790k onced overclocked in my personal experience. And after using a system with the 4790k, the ryzen system still feels smoother and alot snappier even when gaming. Especially in Battlefield games online.

That only proves his point, check the benchmark scores at the end, the Ryzen having significantly better minimum lows. You could have a trillion frames per second but when it's dipping to 12fps YOU NOTICE IT as it breaks the immersion. Syria 32.43 min on the Ryzen 1600X and 12.50 on the I7 4770K Geothermal Valley 51.67 min on Ryzen 1600X and 42.36 the i7 4770K Your argument is invalid. Now the Ryzen was overclocked from 3.6Ghz base to 4Ghz while the 4770K was overclocked from 3.5Ghz to 4.1Ghz, 99% of gamers don't overclock to begin with which means that in stock configuration the 1600X provides a better playing experience than to a 4770K, in this specific game anyway.

The dip to 12FPS is because of the scene transition. Please, anyone who thinks an i7 4770K can actually dip to 12FPS while a Ryzen 1600X dips only to 51.67FPS, stop spouting nonsense. Try the game benchmarking tool for yourself.

So True ....^ a 4790k is faster than a 1800x in rise of the tomb raider much less a 1600! https://www.guru3d.com/index.php?ct=articles&action=file&id=39018&admin=0a8fcaad6b03da6a6895d1ada2e171002a287bc1 I can go on and on... https://www.guru3d.com/index.php?ct=articles&action=file&id=39022&admin=0a8fcaad6b03da6a6895d1ada2e171002a287bc1

This is what I get. This is with my GTX 1080 Ti, R7 2700X, and 16 gigs of DDR4 3466. The RAM is running DDR4 3333 speed with 15-15-15-15-35-1T timings. My CPU is not overclocked, and the video card is running the stock OC values it comes with. At stock, it boosts to 1974 on the core. I posted Shadow of the Tomb Raider Bench....not Rise of the Tomb Raider... Nice score though^ an you have a nice setup too! Edit: I guess I was wrong that is Rise Benchmark!....My Bad.
