yeah but medium ? this runs at 80fps here. Why not high/v.high ? You know the answer probably.
same for valhalla,they set it up so that even pcie3.0 runs 60fps
hilarious levels of just plain refusing to put the actual numbers on the table. 5500xt runs fc6 at 60fps w. ultra,but 6500xt has to be tested on medium ? bull crap,man. you know it.

Besides the price, the limited VRAM is really the only problem with it. So long as it doesn't run out of VRAM, the performance seems fine. While even at $50 cheaper I still wouldn't recommend this to anyone, remember that this is a 1080p GPU, where maxed-out textures aren't necessary. Textures are what take up the most VRAM.
My ancient R9 290 has 4GB and it still plays plenty of games in 1080p fairly well so long as I don't max out the textures and turn off AA.
At this price, the GPU really should have come with 8GB, though for its level of performance, 6GB at a lower price would have made more sense.

I was accused of being a jealous kid not too long ago when I brought up such things 😛. When people began willingly paying the hiked rates it signaled AMD and NV that there were enough fools for it.

This card would make sense for 150 euros. But currently I see a store over here selling two Asus models, Dual OC and TUF OC, 329 and 369 euros respectively. After a year of these ridiculous prices, I'm all out of laugh already.

Yes and no. The bus immensely exacerbates the low-VRAM problem. If there was enough VRAM then the bus bandwidth would be irrelevant, since most games aren't all that demanding of PCIe bandwidth, especially if they're DX12 or Vulkan. Even if AMD allowed the full x16 @ 4.0 lanes, it would still rank poorly in the charts.

so they're using a different chart for this,and still put games that just can't run in the charts on medium settings.
why aren't they using fc6 and valhalla here then ? cause those three (f1,sotr,wdl) they show here will still run at 45-65fps on highest preset,unlike ubisoft games that barely reach 20.
They saw a problem,and they plain ignored it,both for the main review,and additional preset scaling tests.
if you think 6500xt will run 45-60fps on highest preset then good luck.

According to guru3d, at ultra, AC Valhala runs at 40 fps. 4 fps more than Watchdogs on HU at max. So it´s the same.
The exception is FC6 with ultra+texture pack that ran at 17 fps. But that was the only game tested by guru3d that ran so low.
You are making a storm in a cup of water. Ignoring that HU just said this is the worst gpu they ever tested.
And making a big point in showing how terrible the performance is with pcie gen3.
I don´t know what you got against HU, but in this review you are being unreasonable, because they trashed this card.

I'm with cucaulay malkin on this all the way! Far Cry 6 is an AMD sponsored game an this New AMD gaming card can't even play it at 1080p High....somebody dropped the ball on this release.
