Well we spoke on this a couple of months ago but depending on prices and more importantly availability, a very cheap 3090Ti might end up being a wise purchase.

dropping hard, not nowhere near the price they should be. and on top of that , IF they want to get rid of the old stock they should add a discount to that as well. I can't see people buying at this rate.

these prices are still nowhere where they should be. entry/mid level cards are priced 300-500e, high level cards are twice what they used to be. as a consumer, i propose we all let them crash and burn until a 3090ti is sold for 500e...

There's always someone. One of the members here bought a 3090Ti just the other day.

No surprise. All enthusiasts already have high end card and are awaiting for RTX40. The real story here is that prices for budget cards aren't dropping. They are staying the same here in Europe for the last 4-5 months. RTX3060 450-600€.

Still expensive as hell! At those prices, it's better to wait for the next gen.

At this point, this seems like a big joke from NVidia, just to screw with consumers.

True, but I rather look at Steam's stats > https://store.steampowered.com/hwsurvey/videocard/
lol 🙂 One of the most controversial stats basis... The only sure thing is that someone might bough one of the NVidia with the price drop... But passing from 3x AMD's price to 2x AMD's price is not enough for me, even more with AMD dropping price too.

This kind of news are just valid for US market. Europe no longer matters, our currency still going down so do not expect reduced prices.

Pricing and availability are complete unknowns.

Coming to what they should have been at day one. Still a bit far from what they should, but close. Sadly I bet they're dropping these to be able to slot in the new stuff at the same inflated price.

Yes, the prices are down. You can buy a RTX3080Ti for 1200 euro and I just bought an MSI Suprim RTX 3090 Ti for 1650 euro - not for gaming though, for a neural network - I love the 24 GB VRAM and I will use every memory cell of them 😎 I wanted this card badly but the initial price was scary to say the least, now I can finally put one to some good use.

those cards are now 2 year old, and i would expect in the old days to get them at 60% launch price more or less. I would grab a 3080ti at 700-800eur

I would rather wait out for the 4000 series and THEN buy a 3000 card. They are still too expensive for what they are at this point in their life cycle.

Everyone should wait for 40 series dont fall for this nvidia marketing to dump 30 series on us.

I'm glad they are struggling Sold it all at huge prices to miners and now they want gamers to take the cards... Let em suffer more

TBH price hikes or discounts for upgradees are almost irrelevant, you almost always pay the same premium for an upgrade. Lets say i have 2070 which was 500+ used and 3080 was 1200, if 3080 drops to 800 my used 2070 will be worth 200+, etc. Since im always more or less current, it mostly doesnt matter.

I have peeked at my crystal ball and i can tell you, and everyone else, that the 4070 is going to be 399€, the 4080 599€ and the 4090 is going for 899€. The card is going to be released in November in small quantities but plenty of cards next year.:D
