So its like a ram drive with perm storage? Can they be raid configured? Do they need to run trim? Will windows see them as ssd's and run trim on them?

Pfff... Windows. This belongs in Enterprise servers, clusters, whatever. RAID isn't an option I guess, could be that these will be used as caching for datastore clusters. Much like SOME SSD's can be used as cache for VM's in ESXi or Xen. And even IF it would work in regular PC's I doubt that anybody would actually need it 😀 And let's not forget money, they are probably worth your kidneys x50 😉

I would love to have them on my PC. Yea, probably would be worth that cause I wouldn't get jack for my liver. 😀

They have 16GB storage max. It's like a faster kind of SDD using new tech and PCIe to make it faster then a standard SDD, but not really something for playing your games off, and it's still not as fast, or faster then normal RAM.
But these may replace the standard SDD in a few years unless something better comes along.

The only thing I see a use for these drives for those small enterprise programs that could benefit from speed. Another would be for video rendering combined with a standard SSD for temp storage.

So how fast are these? Something similar to
Ultra M.2 ?
