Really nice performance for a budget card. Considering the cost of your average GTX660/7850/7870, this is a bargain.

Finally a worthy upgrade for my antique card.

In the previous article about the 7790 I said about the 7850 that screamed more value... Well, based on this new information, I take it back, replace the 7850 with the GTX 650 Ti Boost that screams more value. I would seriously consider this over a 7850. But then again.. There's the 7870 that screams more value for a bit more... 😀

Interesting though, there is a benchmark video in youtube that shows the 7850 outperforms the 650 Ti Boost in Far Cry 3, Crysis 3, and Skyrim (with 18 mods).

You can ban me if you want, but your 650 ti boost reviews are just not right at all. Same goes for this Bioshock Infinite VGA Graphics Benchmark thing. Different ingame settings, different test setup, maybe? But there is still way too much FPS advantage for 650 ti boost vs 7870 or even 7850! http://tpucdn.com/reviews/Zotac/GeForce_GTX_650_Ti_Boost/images/bf3_1920_1200.gif http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Zotac/GeForce_GTX_650_Ti_Boost/9.html Vs http://www.guru3d.com/index.php?ct=articles&action=file&id=2972 http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/palit_geforce_gtx_650_ti_boost_oc_review,14.html

↑ ↑ ↑ Care to try "Different Level/Part" of the game tested? Or tested on different drivers etc? Numerous reasons for the difference in FPS and Chart Hierarchy.

MODERATOR - Content removed. You made your point but are slowly turning this into a weird personal trolling quest - please stop with that.

Hey bro, i'll have a look at r7800 with 13.3 b3 next week to see if there is a discrepancy with bf3 based on drivers. The Bioshock results stand as they are though.

With absolutely no disrespect to Hilbert or Guru3d, Rillipiru may have a point here. It just doesn't seem correct that the 650 Ti Boost is seeing such an advantage in some of these benches :gape: Then again, the 650 Ti Boost will not overclock as well as a 7850 and has higher thermals. I've yet to see a 7850 that cannot hit 1050mhz core on stock voltage - much higher if you boost the voltage a notch.

Guys -- I have confirmed this and it's a specific driver related anomaly with Battlefield. All Radeon 7800 charts have been redone like 2 months ago for all tests, and it looks like I made a mistake with battlefield 3 resulting in a 5 to 10% anomaly in lacking performance which is exactly what you guys see missing. I'm working on it now (re-validating the entire R7800) R7900 series seem to be correct though but rechecking anyway. I will update the numbers today and reflect them in the recent reviews. Update : charts have been revised. This unfortunately effected the R7850 and R7870 specifically and yes, it did make a substantial difference.

Ah. Great that you've checked this. Things like that show you're not biased. Everyone can make mistakes. 🙂

+1 Also small things like that shows ONCE AGAIN Hilbert is a true professional. Thank you.

^ Thank you very much Hilbert! It definitely seemed like something was a bit off there and you nailed it.

Any plans on an SLI review of 650 Ti Boost, Hilbert? I just read the one over at TPU, and if the numbers are to be believed, two of these (on stock) made up around the same performance as stock 680 or 7970 GHz. Probably a good chance to prove whether Nvidia's multi-GPU support is really better than AMD or not using FCAT. =b
