6 world records broken since the release.

LN2... always nice to know, but of little real world significance... besides seeing LN2 gives you about 25% over air...

LN2 is only for bragging rights - no significance otherwise...BUT bragging rights are important especially when you are a company that was crushed by the competition for a decade or so. Intel??? -----> https://i.imgur.com/DdiE7yw.png

i m more impressed on the memories at 3200mhz CL11. How did they do so?

WOW I'll have to congrats SPLAVE....... Splave been on the memory overclocking for a long long time, that's how he does so. Holds a few memory overclocking records.

3200 cl11 is not all that impressive. competitive OCers frequently use DDR4 4000-4266 at CL12-11-11-28 or 4666+ CL14

Well for the average user is impressive. How do you get the right modules? you take 30 of them and try the good one, sell back the others? Better to buy high speed modules and try to clock down? or they build them for you or what?

Most Samsung B-dies will do 3200Mhz at CL12 with little effort.

You realise that a lot of the big manufacturers have ln2 overclockers in house? Intel has a dedicated OC team that runs Ln2 on lots of chips. So it has significance. It's also for fun not sure why some people need to assume it for big ego's to get off on (not aiming that at you fantaskaresef, just can't be bothered to quote everyone lol) it's the same reason people Drag race etc

Holy crapola, what was the total power usage for that?

GN used supernova 1600w to reach 5ghz but idk how power usage was.

Oh yes I am aware that they have it. For bragging rights between companies ofc, publicity and you never know who buys a Kingpin card over a normal one e.g. Doesn't change much about what I wrote though but you are right 🙂

I don't really understand why people feel the need to point out the significance of LN2 overclocks. Yes, it is meaningless, but aren't most of the things we discuss on these forums petty? Is it really worth spending 30% more for a 5% performance increase? Do you really see a noticeable day to day difference when RAID'ing M.2 drives? Is it really that bad if your PC isn't nearly silent? We're enthusiasts, aren't we? Overclocking a 64-core CPU like that is, at the very least, interesting, because it's pushing limits we've never seen before. How often have you seen a single CPU consume over 1KW of power?

Exactly, this clearly is not about practicality but abput pushing the limits to see whats possible. 64 cores at 5.3 is INSANE. And yes, I cant even understamd how that CPU can take 1kw of power. My kitchen cooking pot has 1kw but is much bigger and very stupid compared to CPU, its just a piece of iron. That CPU is very delicate and fragile, how it can take 1kw is baffling. Wow, what a beast. And it will drive the progress a lot.

I like to see stuff like this because it's shows what hardware can do at insane levels.

Only this kit F4-3200C14D-16GFX should be the only B-die in the flare x.

Dram voltage with my B-die can do CL 11 3200Mhz.I do have a 80MM fan point at my Ram to keep them cool. I have B-die 4000 kit so it is much easier to do.I have went down to CL10 on various Ram speed and do not know the actual limit because I did not need to go lower. I never seen the need for LN2 but I bet it is a whole bunch of fun.

Materials behave quite differently at cryogenic temperatures than at normal/hot ones (over 50 C). Superconductivity is not a myth ;-)

Yeah no lol If you think it's all for bragging rights and to try and get someone to spend more money on a KP or a HOF then you're wrong. A lot of very talented overclockers have helped in more ways than you seem to know with products, hell not even just in house ones. More than a few have helped with testing BIOS's before products have been released, memory overclocking etc But yes overclockers have been used by manufacturers in the past for that reason though, not to say all overclockers in those privileged positions have taken the piss themselves a couple certainly have.
