6 world records broken since the release.

LN2... always nice to know, but of little real world significance... besides seeing LN2 gives you about 25% over air...

LN2 is only for bragging rights - no significance otherwise...BUT bragging rights are important especially when you are a company that was crushed by the competition for a decade or so.

i m more impressed on the memories at 3200mhz CL11.
How did they do so?

WOW I'll have to congrats SPLAVE....... Splave been on the memory overclocking for a long long time, that's how he does so. Holds a few memory overclocking records.

Well for the average user is impressive. How do you get the right modules? you take 30 of them and try the good one, sell back the others? Better to buy high speed modules and try to clock down? or they build them for you or what?

Holy crapola, what was the total power usage for that?

I don't really understand why people feel the need to point out the significance of LN2 overclocks. Yes, it is meaningless, but aren't most of the things we discuss on these forums petty? Is it really worth spending 30% more for a 5% performance increase? Do you really see a noticeable day to day difference when RAID'ing M.2 drives? Is it really that bad if your PC isn't nearly silent?
We're enthusiasts, aren't we? Overclocking a 64-core CPU like that is, at the very least, interesting, because it's pushing limits we've never seen before. How often have you seen a single CPU consume over 1KW of power?
HybOj
Exactly, this clearly is not about practicality but abput pushing the limits to see whats possible.
64 cores at 5.3 is INSANE.
And yes, I cant even understamd how that CPU can take 1kw of power. My kitchen cooking pot has 1kw but is much bigger and very stupid compared to CPU, its just a piece of iron. That CPU is very delicate and fragile, how it can take 1kw is baffling.
Wow, what a beast.
And it will drive the progress a lot.

I like to see stuff like this because it's shows what hardware can do at insane levels.
