I wonder how this will compare to Klipsch's ProMedia 2.1 speakers.

excellent review K it's hard to sell a $400 2.1 speaker as a new entry in a different category of a tough market. it's also hard to screw up a rather nice "me too" product that's all visual design, which with this case does well. the details and the finish looks great anywhere you have the room. good thing they made the i/o of quality hardware as anything less would salt the wound. i certainly would want to hear one first, but i know they'll look great.

It's too little effort IMHO - there are very well made 2.1 speakers with Bluetooth connection - like Logitech 2.1 Z537 for example. The fact that Bluetooth is missing at this price it's a bummer for me.

The world of audio is an initially hard to understand & complicated environment with a lot of snake oil and lack of quality information, but if you folks want to make solid audio decisions based on reliable & scientific based measurements then the following is the site you want to use to inform yourself on your audio purchases: https://www.audiosciencereview.com/forum/index.php?reviews/ Speaking from personal experience after finding that website & also buying countless equipment (headphones/speakers/DACS) based on that website then in my mind it's the only rational way forward in terms of audio - maximising your experience for the least dollars (the theories adopted at that site are based on published Scientific Research, mostly Harman related). I don't knock the review here on guru3d though because it's hard to do a proper audio review unless you have the equipment to measure them or I suppose you could at least do some in-room measurements using a UMIK microphone & REW software, so it's not totally without blame - but audio is a complicated business to the uninitiated, but can be very simple when you get it right if using the core concepts over on ASR (the website I linked). Guru3d could think about in-room measurements as that's fairly achievable or measurements done outside in open space which is a bit like approximating Anechoic Measurements. (On that basis I have no opinion on the reviewed item here)

the room itself is an analog parametric equaliser. furnishings boost or limit gain in specific frequencies as does the shape of the room the number of people and the height of the ceiling do as well but this category of product rarely if ever merits the anechoic testing and even then that's not everything from an unbiased review a very true fact that's not widely known is most speaker brands do not make all of their drivers, particularly the HF so a very true fact many of these products are nearly identical yet show widely varying tonalities and LF and even then a crossover point or impedance jump makes a difference in a room pro or con so speaker specs aren't nearly everything and the better a speaker is the less you notice it. and the same set whichs sounds so great in one room can be meh! in another.

Pretty use review that compares these to no other speakers and doesn't actually mention how they sound. At 250 for the speakers with a 3" woofer and 150 for the subwoofer these are basically an outright ripoff unless they defy physics especially without an onboard DAC. Your gonna be way better off with edified m-audio or Kanto for similar but likely better product.

No need for review. Just by lookin at the specs you get enough information on quality. The sub is usless at 5% THD at 250Hz. Actual subwoofers should not even play such high frequencies, main speakers should handle those. On 20-150Hz range which matters, it will be like 50-20% THD with immense distortion. Main speakers use misleading "THD <1% @ 1 kHz", instead of 20hz-20kHz, so I wouldn't get my hopes up for main speakers either. Based on the information given they will very likely sound very bad, and yes for 399$ it is an outright ripoff.

If you don't do measurements you have almost nothing of merit in an audio review.

https://www.cowcotland.com/articles/3935-4/test-nzxt-relay-speakers-et-subwoofer-la-compacite-mais-pas-que.html looks like a poor analysis measurement (just look at 125 typical bullshit made in an not proper environment).. anyway poor on second part of mid-treble and high-treble sections, very poor on mid-bass, crappy around 500hz, multiple distortions on mid range.. even on a proper environment probably most of those stuffs will be still there I am more interested in the subwoofer, but I doubt it will be able to compete with the entry level Eris Sub8 at all.

Way overpriced for what you get. A decent pair of active monitors would be much better near-field. My Kali's go as deep as this subwoofer and without the distortion. Plus I didn't pay as much as these list for, got better sound for less. This would be my absolute last choice in a desktop situation, way better choices for the money.

Can't expect much for $400, it is what it is.
