Pointless specially when we already have the PS Vita that is smaller and much better good looking.

they should have done this 10 years ago. not now when the market is already flooded with android based phones and home consoles.

If it was just Android Games it would be a really bad product, but if the game streaming service works nice, it can be a pretty good product...
And if this device be successful enough it can be a nice thing for PC Gaming.
That's one thing that I really like in nVidia's thinking, they hardly forget about PC 😀.
I don't know if it's because they want it, or that they just can't. Whatever it is, I'm happy with it!

You have to question why they'd enter a dying market, especially with that thing.

Thinking of it, this could be a nice addition to the steam box

All I see is a portable Android gaming platform. The fact that you can stream games from your PC is nice but... why? If I'm at home I'd rather play on my PC than this thing (especially since the PC needs to run anyway). And don't Android games need to be made compatible by the devs first? Meaning the catalog will probably very limited.

The dying dedicated gaming handheld market, obviously shown with the lackluster 3DS and Vita sales because everyone is buying smart phones and kids have ipod touches.
I also think they'll be sued because it looks like a 360 controller and the design also has a subliminal giant X which makes it look like Microsoft are getting into the market.
Also that thing isn't even portable, try fit that in your pocket :\

pointless.

splintering off game development on even more platforms is just what the we need....

if the vita cant sell then there is no way this thing is going to make a profit.

For some reason I think they'll push it out with a damn nice price..
It looks and sounds great so far, just imagine playing Batman or something like that, with the controllers screen acting as a mini map, just like the wii-u..
It's a little bit small tho.. Should be atleast 7" by todays standards..

I think the problem is more people only one to carry one device with them, Smart Phones do everything so why buy a dedicated handheld gaming device? Especially one this clunky?
Tbh when I want serious games I play them at home on my PC, when I'm on the go games like Angry Birds is all I want.

"4k video on a mobile device"-The hell is the point in that? Sure you can stream it to your tv, but why even go through the handheld to do it?

^This. It would of been awesome if you could run emulators off the hardware in the Shield.

Personally what I would like to have is a software suite that lets me stream PC games to any Nvidia supported device.
I got a desktop computer in my bedroom that is my high performance gaming rig, and then I have a mid-range gaming laptop that is ok, but aint going to produce any mindblowing graphics any time soon.
Being able to play Crysis or BF3 in all its visual glory from the comfort of my laptop would be just pure win for me.
