Nothing to be excited about if the 4080 and 4060 aka 4070ti are any indication.

Agreed . This lackluster pricing doesn't and should not get budget customers excited about these gpus

7900XT 4080 and 4070ti rubbed salt into my veins too much...

I'm thinking it's the ridiculous pricing. Give us a decent ~$250 card again. Sell us a reasonable ~$350 card again. Meanwhile, a xx50 series goes for over $300 now. It costs nearly the same as my 6 year old GPU ($379) and it's actually slower. It's not salty, there's literally nothing exciting happening in this space that many longtime gamers have been priced out of.

Hard to be excited with the new cards, from both sides, when they are so expensive...

The fact that the 4090 is the best card and uhm for the lack of better word, the "best value" says a lot. I managed to get a good price on the 3080 and some spare part, as well as PNY 4090, so i've bought it and should receive it today. 4090 is hard to find, on the other side, all the other cards outside non reference 7900XTX, are here with a huge stock.

I can't wait for more overpriced GPUs. Thanks Nvidia...

Thats like saying give us a galon of milk from the 60's for 5c... today. That time aint coming back, sadly.

I'm not asking for prices that we had 10 years ago but when Nvidia cards have pretty much doubled in price just because of crypto which recently crashed...you can tell Nvidia is spoiled and tries to recoup their investment. Vote with your wallet.

True, we know things are changing when the 2.000€ card is the one that offers the best price/performance ratio!... 😕

A gallon of milk was $3.00, and with inflation, now it's $4.00 (where I live). If nvidia was selling milk, they'd be asking $6.00 for that same gallon. That's where we're at, I'm not asking for 5c milk, I'm asking for nvidia to sell it for $4.00 like everyone else. $250 cards should not be $600. $375 cards should not be $800 now. I refuse to accept this as the new normal for GPUs. $350ish/ $500ish, sure but the xx60 series and xx70 series pricing is absurd now.

A gallon of milk made by Nvidia would be sold by $8.00, at least. But it would have RT effects on the package and cream/foam generation included...

still question WHY Nv should lower prices, just because we dont like it. model numbers/tiers/pricing, all up to the company that makes the product. its a capitalistic planet, items are sold for what a company thinks it can charge, not what the consumer WANTS to pay, how many of you apply the same logic to: buying/renting a home/car? so yeah, i will go to porsche tmrw, and complain that i want one of their cars for the cost of a chevy cruze, because i think their prices are ridiculous... 😀 ignoring for a moment how fixated ppl are with model numbers, instead of buying the perf needed, with the funds they have, and if it doesnt fit (budget), save up or dont buy. and nothing in this or previous posts states that im happy with pricing of gpus.

I already expect to be horrified by the 4060 and 4060 Ti prices.

If graphics cards had always been this expensive, then there wouldn't be such an outcry going on. PC gaming just would be more elitist, yeah, and a smaller business as well because fewer could afford it. Although that being said, there's a whole lot more wealth now in the world than in the 80's or 90's. The problem is that the cards have been getting significantly more expensive during the last few generations. That price hike is what makes people complain. So, if you went to a car dealer and saw the Chevy Cruze prices are what you'd expect to pay for a Porsche, you'd be shocked. What's the perf needed? 4090 is just starting to be enough for RT. For existing games, that is. There's never enough performance. That's why Nvidia invented frame generation, so that people can imagine they have enough performance, even though it's just mathematical sleight of hand.

Yeah.. right. What more absurd is, some people are trying to defend this cash grab with inflation. Such strong mindshare NVIDIA does possess, fascinating....

Not really, people just buy what they need/want to play games with. Pretty simple really, as nobody is forcing anyone to do anything. What is fascinating tho, is the concern some seem to have about how others spend their money.

70 class card has to be 40% faster then the last 70 class card this looks about 20% faster given the ti is about 40% over the 3070
https://forums.guru3d.com/data/avatars/m/198/198862.jpg
So lets say 4070 will cost 599$ msrp and with tax so you can have it at around 800$. It will look nice on the shelfs next to the 4070ti and 4080. 😀
