BTW the GP104-400 for the Ti might very well become a GP100 based SKU, which would make more sense June/July for GP100 based consumer card (Ti)? Indeed, I have a hard time seeing 300mm2 chip in high-end Ti, but:
got an interesting news today from an old friend. Google is going to be "by far" the biggest Pascal customer, followed by.... Baidu ! and GP100 allocation is full for the next 6 months, DGX1 is a big hit, they cannot build enough for the demand...
https://forum.beyond3d.com/posts/1905382/ DGX1 being fully allocated and shipping in June/Jully for ungodly amounts of $$, leaves little chance of consumer based GP100 launched in similar frame time

^ That's good for nVidia. It is like hitting Jackpot. But to the mini GPU mentioned in article, I hope it is big upgrade over gtx 950. Even if performance is extracted through higher clock and not big increase in transistor count (GPU complexity). This minimum performance market needs more power. And looking at new PS4 specs... Cheap PC with gtx 1050/1060 or r7-460 may not only cost more than that new PS4, but perform worse. Only remaining benefit for such PC would be keyboard+mouse and software versatility. But if it is pure gaming... I really do not see big reason for that lowest end GPUs to exist anymore unless they bring at least 50% more performance than last generation lowest performers within same price range.

I want to see the new cards not rumours from chinese click-fest sites. :spam: Many says the cards will come in autumn but nothing is real, yet.

hopefully this will be around GTX970 or 980 performance at maximum 200$, the 960 was pretty underwhelming.

GP106 will come in August. It's almost certain that 104 is coming in June. Which basically coincides with the PX2 launch. If there is any Ti/Titan variant of GP100, it won't come till Autumn either. Similar to the original Titan which launched months after the 680.

jesus christ man why did you change your picture I was wondering who this new goat-man was lol. Anyway, I'm really annoyed by these new leaks because I don't understand how the Ti, X80 and X70 are all based off the same chip.

You take big chip. You make it in Chinese factory. Big chip have imperfection. You laser cut big chip imperfection block. Now chip ready for slower card.

No need to get sassy. gp104 isn't a "big chip" it's more or less the size of gm204

Ah no, I imagined a Russian heavy accent voice doing that. I wasn't mocking you. 🙂 My bad. Still, that's a good way to get from GP104 to 106. But we'll see. It all depends on yields really. If the yields are excellent, it makes more financial sense to separately manufacture a smaller chip, than always paying for larger dies that you laser cut later.

Yeah but if GP106 were a laser cut GP104 it wouldn't be called gp106 :P I sincerely hope these latest rumors are wrong and nvidia doesn't plan on releasing a ~300mm^2 chip at an enthusiast price point if they do release a 'Ti' with the first round of pascal cards it would be a first

Search your feelings, you know it to be true. And you know that people will buy them.

So, the 1080 / X80 is a cut down GP104 now? Don't think so. Maybe the 1080 is a full GP104 with GDDR5 and 1080ti is a better clocked (binned) GP104 with GDDR5X. And, if AMD bring some competition early 2017, nVidia can launch a 1080Ultra with a cut down GP100 and HBM2.

Man I don't give a **** about people :P People are idiots :P People buy AIO watercoolers (sorry !) I've literally been juggling a bunch of prospective buyers for my 980Ti for 3 weeks now, and I'm still ****ing undecided :P I can get ~560 euros for my card If ~560 euros gets me a 20% performance increase (over a stock 980Ti) then it's worth it for me I'm sure the cards will cost more than the MSRP initially, and i'd have to wait for the AIB cards... probably an extra month and an extra 50 euros. tldr: X80 @ 600 euros with 980ti +20% stock is bare minimum to make the change worth it If not 30 euros worth of fujipoly thermal pads, some gelid extreme and  I know, I know, only considering Pascal is stupid; but I need CUDA. Unless AMD has their cuda interpreter ready, and it's been tested, I'm sticking to the greedy green team

I like goatman! I think the Titan will be based on GP100. Including the HBM2 memory. I just don't think it's going to be out until Nov/Dec. I don't think there will be a Ti variant honestly but who knows.

As long as the X80 release around June.

Do you know how much smaller case you need if you use AIO on CPU instead of big monster? It gives versatility, allows you to move heat directly from case. Only way I could see AIO as waste was if someone had big tower and used only one slot AIO on CPU.

Yeah yeah, I know AIOs are convenient in some cases. Most people buy AIO because they think water>air by default

All that power just to play terrible console ports? Oh man! Let´s hope the VR take off soon.
