"Announced with Mercedes-Benz that it will create a centralized computing architecture for the automaker’s next-generation vehicles, enabling them to be software-defined AI cars. " 2020 Class S will probably the first MB with new Nvidia system onboard. Look at the screen !! Gaming inside!! [youtube=JYapk5o22kU]

If he gets fired nvidia can hire Horst Fuchs and Peppi on his place. For next quarter they will be 25 percent in plus.

I am noob at Finance - but aren't those numbers very bad? (down over 50% i each segment?) only crypto income made their Y/Y positive. P.S: this year RTX saled are very bad, gamers buying used 1060/1070/1070Ti/1080/1080TI for very cheap and in 2020 the new Consoles are coming out that gonna decrease even more the sales of GPU's , how NV gonna look better?

Reading the numbers again, I think they're just making the same mistake again... upping their expectations (again, +21% sounds like they expect more or less the same sales as they did for Turing's release), only that those won't come around either. It looks stupid to me that you say you can reach the numbers you couldn't get done just a few months ago.

With high expectation comes great disappointment. Alas, one can't easily set lower expectations when shareholders breathing on its neck. Gotta please em all!

Maybe it's due to an extreme price increase this generation (RTX) compared to last generation? But idk about these things of course, I'm no expert...

I may have said this before, but the situation does remind me of Sandybridge chipsets, when referring to the 10xx series - they are really good and people don't need more. Nvidia realised this, so they decided to do three things simultaneously: a) release a new product at a (very) high and 'premium' price. b) FORCE the media to ACCEPT the premise that RTX is a good thing. c) TELL gamers that they need to have this new thing, that no one asked for. (a) caused a backfire and put a big question mark over shareholder confidence, that later proved correct. (b) caused a double backfire as independent news is paramount to integrity, especially when the premise is a flawed one - RTX is not a good thing. (c) caused a triple backlash as the majority of the promotional hooharr banging-of-the-drums was on one of the worst received game trailers in recent times 'BF5'. I honestly think that leather jacket is choking off blood to the brain, because 2018 was the year nvidia truly lost the plot. Please, someone here tell me I'm wrong, but wasn't all we wanted from nvidia in 2018 was a revamp of the 10xx chipset? Something that was smaller, broader OC curve, more efficient, possibly a tiny Home Cinema media server variant? I don't recall anyone here saying they were saving up their pocket money, working longer hours, selling a few organs on the black market, just so they can buy a graphics card that has the capability of running real-time lighting hacks (it is a hack, using ambient occlusion mathematics, ask JC) did I? No, I didn't. No one said it or even thought it. He needs to watch himself, because he could get forced out of his own company, with enough pressure.

Definitely happens with companies losing their mind and selling products at insanely increased prices: NV, Apple. They may have got huge profits this time too, but it should be taken as a huge warning sign regarding the results of the gaming market's results. If they try to milk customers in the gaming market to this extent, that segment will end up like this. Techpowerup's poll of "Are you buying an RTX?" seems precise.

From 500-600 to 1500 for a high-end card in 10 years. What did they expect?

Shares climb 8.6% after Q4 results ... beat EPS but missed revenue $2.2B midpoint of the guidance cut. Almost impossible to predict stock market reaction to corporate financial news.

"RTX™ 2060 GPU, putting exceptional performance and graphics enhanced by ray tracing and AI within reach of tens of millions of gamers" er, what!? in what world is Jensen living if he thinks a £/€300+ card is going to be bought by tens of millions of gamers?

You right but there is gpu performance problem we have 8k what is basicly useless because we dont have gpu what can handle it. With current gpus we can be happy if we play on 2k 144hz for what price? And if they add 40% performance every new gen gpus we will wait loooooooooong for 8k gpus.

Whatever you say, whatever you like, you cannot remove JHH's jacket from him, neither take it. So much power!

Maybe the customers will pull off the skin from him if he keeps this pricing.

I mean the 1070 has at least ~5M steam users with it so doesn't seem that unreasonable.

With that absurd pricing, GTX 1660ti should be the new holy grail after gtx 1070's death. RTX fiasco in real world gaming, is not gonna save RTX 2060's sales. I can't wait to see steam hardware survey chart after 6 months of 1660ti's release.
