...this is for consumers (us)....and they are retailers.....they work day and night worth millions for 'branding'....

Huh? Last I checked the GTX 7xx wasn't released till early July. And if you look at the Steam Hardware Survey, the GTX 770 had the largest market share gain of any card listed. The reason why they're not backordered is simple... 28nm is a mature process and yields are great. The only reason why AMD gained market share in Q2 2013 was because of the high volumes of very low profit margin chips they're making for the PS4 and xBone.

They really hit the nail on the head with the 670gtx. That 1080P/60FPS sweetspot did the trick.

Indeed they did. But these days in EU I find that usually custom GTX 770 are even cheaper than some GTX 670 and cheaper than GTX 680! And if we look at its performance versus the other two mentioned above, that's just.....great!! :P
