Still have this issue on my 3070 when using DisplayPort. The previous fix only targeted 3080 and 3090 I think, and this one works for 4080 and 4090, no idea why 3070 is left out.

Yes, it was a day one issue with some motherboard, most brand put online motherboard bios to help fix it.
Now it's NVidia that (should have) fixed this bug.

Month too late for me. Sold my AMD 7700X PC Gaming rig because of this issue with the AMD Motherboard with this RTX 4090 problem,As a RTX 4090 consumer ,I really thought the problem would have been fixed and I would not have any problems at all..
The testing on the gear is done by technicians/engineers/quality and is a known problems before release and takes over a month to address the issue.
I get it really they do not give a crap about the actual consumer ,because the actual comsumer still buys the gear.

but if we update the firmware on AIB card with the tool , we loose all the specification of the custom Bios firmware ?
I believed customs card had their own firmware (Boost Max , TDP Max etc etc...)

so for AIB GPUs we need it? I don't have an issue, but with Zotac Extreme AMP and Asrock Z690 extreme Wifi6e. do I need it?

the region updated is separate from that programmed by the AIB to set performance. characteristics

if you don't have problems you don't need it, its usually particular to certain mainboard UEFI binarys that enable the higher resolutions.

This tool does not update whole BIOS. It updates only one particular section/region of BIOS.
