I'm guessing $700 due to miners.

fantaskarsef:

To be fair, even there it doesn't say anything about the 1080Ti or Volta (because under the sticker there could be the word "voltage"). The issue was that the hype was bigger than AMD's own claims for a long time, who created the hype is a different question though.
If that was not a dig at Nvidia and Volta then it would be a pointless advert. Also Raji (who looks like is being blamed for Vega by AMD with his sudden leave of absence) made a very similar dig at Volta during a redit discussion about Vega. So I am being very "fair" with pointing out AMD called their shot and struck out looking.

If GDDR5X miners will not touch it.

I'm actually surprised there isn't a 11 series already.

Got a funny feeling those left over 980ti chips are going to resurface. Remember all the mental high clocking 900mhz 480gtxs that got put out half price before the 580gtx launch? They were freaking amazing!

980Ti is Maxwell. You will not see those they are now 3 years old.

I just got a 1070 like a month ago :/
overclock and put a ti sticker on it......:p

I have a feeling this is fake news, the performance deficit between the 1070 & 1080 is only around 20%. Placing another product in between that would be kind of a pointless expense even if Vega 56 does give the normal 1070 a run for it's money. The use of faster memory might be a more feasible possibility considering nvidia have already done that for the 1060 & 1080 however I feel they are more likely to combat any competition from vega itself with price cuts & increasing availability rather than releasing more pascal products.

They always compared Vega to the 1080. Where is the bluff? Get your facts straight.
It's a card game reference. I suppose it's too.. er uncommon a reference or complicated for some to grasp.

These rumors could be called bulsh* or bollocks? Gtx 1070Ti? nVidia maybe want to "force" people to not buy RX Vega 56 or 64 and put on the market these rumors.Like "Dont buy RX Vega 56,just wait our "new" overpriced mid-range product." Pascal sells well, they dont need to push Volta or else.
Exactly my thoughts, with rumors like this one about 1070Ti stronger than RX Vega 56 only NVidia benefits at the end: 1). after this rumor many people thinking to by RX Vega 56 will put their walets on hold and wait for a bit stronger 1070Ti for, I guess for the same money or a bit less, if 1070Ti ever happens.... 2). if these rumors were nothing more than that and 1070Ti never happens it's not NVidia fault, those rumors weren't from their side. If mining madness continuess probably RX Vega 56 price will go even higher due to miners, guess NVidia's gonna drop a bit 1070 & 1080 prices and it'll be enough to hook those people willing to by RX Vega 56... Let's wait a bit to see official NVidia's statement about 1070Ti, if it's gonna be one.... I just want this mining madness to stop ffs, prices are insane on AMD's side, just look at these ridiculous RX 470/480/570/580/56/64 prices, even prices for 1050/1050Ti/1060 and up are quite higher, especially here where I live. One example of how prices are ridiculous here: today I've just bought MSI GTX 1050Ti Gaming X 4G for my younger son, price: 180€ and it was the cheapest one 1050Ti card here with additional 6pin PCIe! Launch price: US$ 139, 11 months later same card: 180€ WTF!? Makes me wanny cry...

@Turanis no google the price for every 2nd/3rd "fastest" card Nv released in the past 15y and compare to price of the lineup they have right now. so where are those overpriced unit? (besides rising prices from mining/higher hardware costs, no one that posted crap like that in the past 20 month, could prove it with a list of release prices of the past decade) i dont see it...
You guess right, mining. Both,Amd and nVidia, profit from mining demands. πŸ™‚ I think its not impossible to have 1070 LE or whatever name it is,but could be just a marketing move and they will put on the market just an Gtx 1070 with 11Gbps Vram, like Gtx 1080. A little refresh on Vram side. Gtx 1050Ti @ 180 euros?Too much. Why not MSI GeForce GTX 1050 Ti AERO ITX,aprox 150 euros (well in Germany).

Prometheus336:

ok...since the 1070 is slightly less powerful than a 980ti, a 1070ti would be the same but with less power consumption?
I think a 1070ti given the specs leaked here would be faster than a 980ti and at lower power consumption. For a start a GTX 1070 is slightly faster than a 980ti already, certainly if talking stock performance as seen in the GTX 1070 guru3d review: http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/nvidia_geforce_gtx_1070_review,28.html GTX 1070ti is supposed to have 2304 shaders, GTX 1070 has 1920 shaders. This means that GTX 1070ti has 20% more shaders than GTX 1070, so this means about 20% more performance. Given that the GTX 1070 is already faster than a GTX 980ti, then GTX 1070ti is significantly faster again.

I think a 1070Ti could make some sense if Nvidia priced it like the current 1070 and then dropped the 1070 price by around 50 to 100€. This way they could compete better with Vega56. But seeing Vega cards are nowhere to be found because of limited supply and crazy prices thanks to miners, i donΒ΄t know if Nvidia has anything to worry about...
Denial:

I personally don't think Volta will be out until late Q1 2018 (it makes sense that Nvidia would wait for GDDR6 availability for Volta consumer) So there is going to be like 7-8 months where Nvidia doesn't have a product launch, this may fill the gap if it ends up true, but i'm not entirely convinced it's real by this leak.
I think Nvidia is going to refresh the 1000 series into the 1100 with some improvements and call it a day until they can release Volta...

I hope this rumor is true , we need more cards as to saturate the market due to mining craze availability of cards is low with high prices 😏, the more cards out there the better for everybody.

What's the point of this? The 1070 is already in a sweet spot for 2K gamers, the 1080 is overkill for 2K and (depending who you ask) inadequate for 4K. Who would this GPU appeal to? If this product is real, I feel like the only reason it exists is just so Nvidia ensures they have something to one-up the Vega 56.

Interesting,Why not also do a 1060ti? Or do they have those already I am getting old cannot keep-up with this stuff anymore. Sure miss my 660 ti it was a Hell of a card in my opinion.
I would consider the 6GB 1060 the "1060 Ti".

mikev190:

I would consider a 1080ti adequate for 144hz 2k. Witcher 3 max out @ 100fps+ takes some power.
Sure, you have a point there, but for most people who play at 60FPS, a 1070 is fine at 2K.
https://forums.guru3d.com/data/avatars/m/56/56686.jpg
guess no 11xx series to next years if that rumor comes to be , i would be interested in 1060ti if they go "ti" route again

They always compared Vega to the 1080. Where is the bluff? Get your facts straight. That depends on the GPU one has and his budget. After what Nvidia did with 1080Ti and Titans XPp, you should have known better.
I don't think that last part is quite fair. I don't ever remember Nvidia releasing a Ti variant of the 70 series in the past. I was not expecting this either.

Everything about IT is overpriced here, like everyone here earn 4000 to 5000€ per month but it's nowhere near that number, in reality it's 10x less or even more than that, at best, average Joe here earns 300-400€/month πŸ™

You were faster mate πŸ™‚ That 1050Ti is gonna be OC'ed to it it's limit and it's gonna be (ab)used for decent 1080p gaming for another year, maybe two. No way I'm gonna let that much OC'ed card to pull power just from PCIEx slot.
