They should just sell them in bulk to miners for a discount. There are still some who are willing to add to their hashing power for the right price.
It would also help to lower the price below MSRP. Gamers aren't going to pay such prices for two-year old tech.

GTX1060 6G £250, well if your in the market for one of these cards i suppose getting a free 120gig SSD drive is your best bang for buck at this time.

My old 290 was able to match the 1060 performance and that card was £300.
How little we have travelled in these 5 years.

But stubbornly not willing to slash prices like the should.
That is just not Nvidia like.

This is a good indication that Turning is soon too arrive.

And we're back at blaming the "miners" again...

to use a British expression, this is "weak tea".
these mainstream boards rarely if ever faced the same problems as their bigger brethren because they're crap at mining. so basically Nvidia made an additional goof during the mining heyday and over produced these cards to try to placate consumers who really wanted a 1070/ti.
at this price range AMD reigns supreme simply because of Freesync. the average consumer (not you guys) doesn't really understand tearing or artifacts, but they do understand smooth game-play. and the fact that there is a Freesync monitor at just about every price point...when G-Sync would add the price of another card to the system.
don't flame me, i use a G-Sync monitor with my Nvidia card(s).
i'm just saying...

I honestly don't understand the flak and do think it's a "win-win" scenario for both parties.
Nvidia get to sell their stocked GTX 1050 & 1060 graphics cards.
The consumer get a healthy discount (free ssd) when building a new system.

Some one needs to tell nvidia that by cutting the price instead to give a SSD would make those card's sell faster , take 50euros of the gtx1060 3GB and it will sell like fresh cake.

In the U.S. All we get is a $20.00 steam card or a 10% off promo code. But they all upped the price on the Graphics cards $10.00-$30.00 Dollars LOL before the (not) deals. Cements the reason I will Not buy until these prices get real.

I check prices every day on Newegg and the best time to buy is on a wednesday or early thursday. If you check it every day you will notice that the price drops just a bit on those days. DO NOT buy on a weekend with NewEgg. Sat and sunday, NewEgg increases the prices on damn near everything.

So, if we factor price of undesirable SSD, does it actually hit original MSRP which nobody should consider as OK anymore, anyway?
