One thing about the name of this card: I think it is just "nVidia Titan X", without the "GeForce GTX".

Lots of space between it and the 1080,too bad i don't have that kind of money to throw at a gpu. This card is begging to be watercooled though.

I was hoping for higher FPS in comparison to the GTX1080 considering the asking price for the Titan X... but I guess this is what happens when there is no competition from AMD allowing Nvidia to charge kidneys and eyes. Anyways, nice review Hilbert!

So whats recommended? Get the titan x or two 1080 for 1440p and 4k?
Personally I think 1080 SLI is better at that price range, considering there is aftermarked coolers.

4k on a single gpu with reasonable framerate is finally a reality. It's actually a complete overkill for 1440p, lol

I might look into 1080 SLI another time as I do need to update that preliminary article anyway, please understand that this Titan X arrived like this morning and it is my 5th review this frickin week. I am exhausted.

Since Volta is sheduled for 2108 i guess 1080Ti will be released next year to fill the gap between 1080 and TitanX.

I might be alone on this but I dont see the price as worth it for 30 more fps or 15 on low end over 1080gtx, maybe ijust looking at wrong parts of the reviews

Yea...;) I hope AMD continues to refrain from releasing $1200 3d cards that "really aren't about 3d gaming but about 'deep learning' and 'pro-suming'"--and yet nonetheless somehow wind-up featured *exclusively* in reviews just like this one that are nothing *but* 3d-gaming reviews revolving around frame-rate charts...;) (Sorry, but the only "deep learning" I see in this review is the knowledge of how foolish I'd be to consider buying something like this--and 'pro-suming'?--Didn't see anything about that, whatever it is...;))
"Competition" in the $1200 single 3d-card market must these days cover a base market of at least three or four people, eh? And on that subject, I didn't see much from the usual suspects about how crummy a mere 60 fps is @ 1200P--only a comment or two about how grand 60 fps is @ 4k--more or less--and for only $1200, too...! Gosh..60 fps, for only $1200...! It's a miracle...
I'm sorry if I sound less than enthused, but if there is anything more to this "product" than sheer empty marketing propaganda for the green team I'd love to know what that might be.
