Is it 'officially' available as well? And at what real price, I'm not talking about the completely irrelevant RRP

And it seems there were no samples for reviews. I guess nVidia knows reception of these would be so bad, they might just avoid the hassle.

I would like to know msrp of this thing.

It was released for the purpose of pushing up Nvidias top entries in the benchmark charts.

No. It was released for nVidia to justify increasing the MSRP.

This. The next gen will falow this card msrp so nvidia can justify x80 cards 899/999$ price.

And that... 😀 Also bear in mind reviews will have an extra Nvidia entry in the top tier cards. This influences consumers perceptions of who is on top.

Also remember that this is not the first card with this strategy. The 2060 12Gb was also released with no reviews. And no MSRP, so they can increase the price without any pushback. nVidia makes great products, I have bought plenty of their cards ever since the TNT2 Ultra. But, damn, they treat costumers like sh*/t.

Its obvious what they are doing. You have to be blind not notice it. Crypto will go down prices will return to normal they have to figure it how to milk gamers when it happens.

HUB mentioned a 55% mark up over the 3080. And yes, they're increasing margins to both get a larger share of the pie now and to have something to fall back on if crypto ever bombs.

The original RTX 3080 FTW3 ultra with 10GB retailed for $800 when it was released this card is retailing for $1249 and $1299 on EVGA site. Why release a driver when you can't purchase the video card ?

No reviews, Nvidia block. [youtube=tS7lx5us1fg]

^ Walton is an idiot. Consumers have a general idea of how the card is going to perform. Day 1 reviews in this current climate of shortages are meaningless and will not influence buyers choice one damn iota.

You are the idiot for defending this crap. Reviews are always important.

Yeah - I don't get the controversy with this one personally. It's a 3080 with 2 more GB of ram - who needs a review of this card on day one? Would it be nice? Sure. Does it really matter? I don't think so. Also people make it sound like theres reviews with every SKU release and there simply isn't - all the time I try to find reviews of 4 vs 8gb cards when they launch and those reviews don't show up till months later because literally no one cares about it - which is probably the same case here.

Didnt say reviews are not important. Day 1 reviews NOW will not make any difference. If you cant understand context, you are the idiot.

Of course reviews are important, even for this card, day one. Stop defending companies that care nothing about you. Neither nVidia, nor AMD, nor Intel care that much for their costumers. So why do you bother defending something like this.
