Seems like it may actually have tensor cores, 192 tensor cores (which I guess would allow it to support DLSS), just no RT cores:

Is 6GB enough? VRAM has become a marketing issue with Nvidia

It's very tempting (grown tired of having to play catch up with the red team). However I don't want to do anything stupid before I read your review, but I do get the impression that I'll have to wait for my perfect upgrade.

I use a 980ti with 6GB in my office pc it has no problems gaming at 1080p or 1440p

Same performance as 1070 but with 6GB instead of 8GB, for 280$ (realistically 300$)
definitely not a big leap....

This is the best release from Nvidia in a long period. No matter if the fastest card in the market costs 1000 € or 10 000 €, but the aggressively performing 300 € price point needs to remain. Another product close to 200 € with slightly above GTX 1060 performance would be welcome too. Bring on those budget beasts please!

yet it will be slower than a 1660 Ti.....regardless....?
much like a 1050ti 4gb vs 1060 3gb....gonna lose every time.
and a 2060 6gb totally rips the head off of a 580 8gb...
Edit:

However, the 580 can be had used for $135 on ebay in the states, so comparing it to a 2060 is frankly not fair, nor its the $300 1660ti.

@Hilbert Hagedoorn I think this is a typo "The GeForce GTX 1060 would get 6 GB GDDR6" shouldn't it be the 1660ti?

@airbud7 you didnt take price into consideration. 580 is 100$ less than 1660ti.

I'm actually looking forward to this card as I have no interest in gaming above 1080p nor any interest in raytracing or dlss. I am looking to build a newer pc and think this would be a perfect upgrade over my 4gb 760.

Something like a asus strix version will probably cost close to 300$. At that point people should just go for 2060 instead for a little more.
