Pretty cool. The root of the flame still looks kinda artificial, though.

The demo is running 32 million voxels, for a game you'd use a LOT less with decent quality/performance.

Just for the flames,... you forget all the rest of the game.. maybe we should put 3K dollars for physic accelerated card and only 300$ for our main render gpu... Seriously, we have all use this with Blender, 3Dmaxs and other software by using CUDA or OpenCL acceleration... the time you see this with standard gpu in a game, even dual, tri, or quadri setup is not for tomorrow .. This said, Nvidia like to show you this type of thing, and a degradated version could really be used in games and show good visuals impact... This said, this demo is really far and obsolete when you compare to profesional render of this type allready.

It's fluid effects. So anything goes really. A naval battle game that the water actually affects the ships and their aiming, and not just up and down. Load a heavy round and shoot it next to the ship to wobble it and make it lose it's aim. Or calculations that the player doesn't even see. Like you are being hunted by dogs in a horror game and you character emits voxels representing scent, get carried away by wind forces and interact with the environment and the AI follows it. Hide behind dense vegetation and it will get harder for the AI to track you since the voxels will clip on the veggies. I'm just saying that there are stuff to do. That was just an example, it doesn't have to be graphics only.
