Sapphire has released a Factory Overclocked R9-295x2 called the R9-295X2 OC. Now before you expect a massive tweak I'd say don't get excited just yet as the reality of things is almost funny. The overclock is rather shameful and very laughable as the reference clock from 1018 MHz got tweaked towards (drum-roll) 1030 MHz. That's right a whopping 12 MHz overclock !

So this has to be the story of the day, as a Call of Duty gamer loses a game online and then calls in a real SWAT team on his enemy. A prank caller called the cops over Skype, saying that he was Rafael Castillo, 17, from Long Beach, saying "I just killed my mother and I might shoot more people". Castillo was a real person, except that he was playing Call of Duty - Castillo's brother, Jose, told The Post: "Some guy threatened to swat him. He was pissed that he had lost".

OnePlus announced the One, a low-cost smartphone that goes toe-to-toe with the world's best devices. The OnePlus One runs CyanogenMod, which is based on Android 4.4 KitKat but includes stronger security and some features not found in stock Android, such as Voice Wakeup and custom on-screen gestures. The OnePlus One is one of the first mass-market devices to ship with CyanogenMod on board. According to BGR, new evidence of the device has appeared on a manifest posted by Indian import site, Zauba. The manifest lists a handset, SM-G906K that was shipped from South Korea earlier last week. This is similar to a model that was spotted on the GFXBench site nearly two weeks ago. Although the device has since been pulled from the GFXBench website.

The 20nm node remains to be problematic and as such companies stick to 28nm for the time being. Next in line is AMD who confirmed in an interview that the company will use 28nm this year throughout the year. According to the transcript of Advanced Micro Devices’ CEO Discusses Q1 2014 Results – Earnings Call, AMD will stick to 28nm process this year. The company is in the process of designing 20nm architecture and it will then move to FinFET 16nm.

Google is said to be looking into ways to make end-to-end encryption tools such as PGP (Pretty Good Privacy) easier to use with Gmail. The utility is already compatible with Gmail but its complex nature has kept it from reaching a mainstream audience. How exactly Google plans to integrate PGP into Gmail is a bit of a mystery as it poses some pretty significant issues. With end-to-end encryption, only the sender and receiver can read the contents of a message.
