So they claim its faster than 1070ti even tho clearly have less horsepower. I wanna see some proof.

They probably mean with DLSS running.

Bold claims on how much power that card has over the previous gen versions that were higher, now we just need to see some benchmarks.

I wonder how much it will cost in Europe. I have bought in November last year 1070ti for 465 EUR.

If the 2070 is trading blows with the 1080, how the hell is the 2060 faster than the 1080 ti, because i swear at the end when he was wrapping things up he said that..

...the price SURE.... will be around $380 - $425
https://forums.guru3d.com/data/avatars/m/248/248627.jpg
So 350$ means it will be more like 450$ and after conversion more like 500-550$ nvidia can shove this whole gen where the sun dont shine.

Eh, not much to see here. Looks to me like big green is nervously trying to shove these out before AMD's impending keynote. I love seeing these companies nervous! It tends to breed competition and benefit the end user, like with Freesync+nvidia.

So basically it’s a GTX 1070 with a smaller die for $349 and none usable RTX features as there is no way in hell that the Ray Tracing features can be used with this little power.

Even though this used to be the pricepoint

But NVIDIA will still sell millions and millions of units because the number 2000 clearly is higher than 1000.

In the presentation, they had 3 demos with it. In 1440p (Core i9 9900K, 32GB DDR4...), the games were playable at the same level as Rasterization if DLSS+RTX were on (55-65FPS). However, if it was just RTX, it lost at least 1/3 of the performance running around 30-45FPS. Again, take it with a grain of salt. If you can find the presentation (YT, dunno...), it's announced around 1h in. -- Personally, since I only buy new, this card looks sexy. 1070/Ti performence and a price that does not look like absolute rip off (Well, it's still a little bit expensive but has a bit more value than the higher level cards). Will take in consideration.

Yeah I found that interesting as I thought Ray Tracing and DLSS couldn't be run at the same time. It looks like they have found a way or the initial information regarding this was wrong. It was a nice performance jump. Would have liked to have seen that on running on an RTX 2080 Ti.

That is way too expensive. Sure its fine for the bigger countries but where I live it is going to be about 350 EUR and 250 was the max for most of us here so the 1060 was really good. But oh well at least used 1070 ti are going for about 250 right now and a 1080 ti is below 400.

BlackZero:

It just works.
Well, that's "and then we doubled it" grade meme material. It'll stick around for years to come, if not decades. Tom's also didn't disappoint with "just buy it". That in and of itself could be considered a job well done, even if nothing else beyond that 😉

I'm guessing this 2060 is $349 in the same way the 2080Ti is $999...

Of course we all want better prices, but... It's funny that a Vega 56 for $350~$400 is considered a great deal, but an RTX 2060 with the same performance for $350 is overpriced! Internet logic!

@kings you are right. Still people need a lover price. But after a few months we may see a fall in prices. Regarding the speed we shall see: If it has the same or higher FPS that the 1070 but the price is only 350 Euro, then it may be a good buy. If the speed is lower the not a good buy. And obviosly without the use of DLSS. Still i don't like the fact that it only has 6 GB. I bealive that 8 GB is normal.

Well, it kinda is if the 2060 is in a similar ball park with a 1070. A bit sad remembering that I bought a 970 for 329 on launch. They get way too expensive with each generation now - They are going to miss out on a lot of sales from lower wage countries. There is no reason to buy new cards if I can get a used 1080 for 300 and a 1080ti for 350 to 400. A used 1070ti goes for 250 right now.

Price is OK. It will be faster or equal to old rusty vega56. You are so poor and noobs that you hear hbm2 for Vega and you consider it money well deserved. No. Rtx 2060 is much superior.
