With A.I. behind it, then, there's possibly 2 ways; 1) Traditional add-on, or 2) Ability to use the internet as an additional source.
That's exactly thing I expect. You are seeing good demos of nVidia's AI toolkit. But nothing you can put your hand on... I expect they are building portfolio for AI-as-a-Service. So, instead of paying once, you'll pay much more over period of time.

Ok, so a question for you guys who do photo editing; What is this kind of technology worth in your field? Whats the nearest competition+price? I don't do this kind of thing, so, I'm out of the loop here.

Long time ago I was pretty hardcore in graphics. I even did my custom design of UI for portable media player/SNES emulator. I did love Paint Shop Pro till it was bought as they were just too good. Not long time ago I got some huge pack of creativity software in Humble Bundle. But I did not have reason to install any of them. So, while I have past experiences. I can't speak for current software capabilities and approximate differences. (Approximate because results shown are low res and compressed in video.) For normal person, this anti-noise will be used on photos. There you have to compare 1:1 result with "one-click" solutions done by Photoshop and such. Because that's what most non-professional people who do photo enhancement do. I would be comparing ability to remove noise while keeping all details. Because nothing puts me away more while looking at photo than it looking like it has been heavily retouched to remove imperfection.

Funnily enough I have an intern working for me during the summer that goes to the Dodge College of Film and Media Arts for Photography/Film Directing.. he says if you're trying to remove noise in post process you're doing it wrong, but if he absolutely had to he'd use the built in photoshop filter because it doesn't impact the details as much as other more aggressive methods. I feel like I should also point out that the research for this AI method was done in conjunction with MIT and published here: https://arxiv.org/pdf/1803.04189.pdf

sadly enough these deep learning algoritms never seem to end up as plugins.. e.g google deep dream algos which is absolutely amazing, makes stuff like Filter Forge seems like child's play.
