still wondering if there is a DLSS 3.0 baking in somebody's oven... This would be a real benefit for all RTX users

Except that image sharpening does not increase fps ;-)
It does if you drop from 4k and run 2560x1440 with image sharpening .

More games is what RT and DLSS needs, but its still not enough to make me want to turn those setting on. I think its going to be a while before we truly have RT implementation in games without drawbacks, trade offs, or much slower performance. It is indeed the future, its just not quite there yet. Much like other things like Tessellation, this had huge performance hits and took quite a few generations to become the norm. DLSS on the other hand is probably Nvidia's best feature yet, its uses for lower end hardware, or even streaming games or other video content is insane. I hope AMD has something to combat this, as I think this is Nvidia's silver bullet.

@CPC_RedDawn : they will have something similar, but it will be applied for all games, no specific game patching is needed.

Yea I've heard that rumour that they are using the same sort of upscaling tech as the new consoles, some form of hybrid chequerboard rendering. I suppose, if true, the collaboration between AMD and the console makers isn't a bad idea. If its a global toggle on/off for all games then that would be insane as long as it works well. I have a feeling its going to only support new DX12/Vulkun games though. Not long to wait now for all to be revealed.

DLSS 2.0 just hasn't been implemented in enough games, the technology is fine, albeit overrated in my opinion (based on personal use). It worked better in Control than it did in Death Stranding, and that's it, really, for all the hype I've used it in exactly two games. Cyberprank 2069 and Watch Dogs Legion are the highlights for upcoming games using the tech, also Generic Military Shooter 13567754, I guess, but DLSS currently seems to exist more as a marking headline, rather than something that has any significant application that benefits gamers.
