Yeah sure sure, still remember that picture with all new titles with Ray Tracing when Turing came out. The only thing that has recently changed was the new consoles are coming out with Ray Tracing support and this could be a game changer here not nVidia empty promises.

A couple of titles there I'll be getting. The big one for me is Cyberpunk and hopefully i should be able to get some good performance with Ray Tracing turned on. Once the new consoles and Navi cards release, there should be even more of a push for it in almost all AAA titles.

If only a dozen people would have rtx cards it would be wonderful.

So this means full RT support for Cyberpunk 2077? Yay

It's the last two titles that I might eventually try.

I don't own hardware capable of RT, but when I do: I'll only turn it on if the performance penalty is less than 10%.

Oh well, I'll 99% won't have an RTX card by the time CP2077 is out... but other than that, from that list only Watchdogs Legion interests me.

It's kind of problematic how the RT implementation is so draining on performance, so the only reaason to have a 2080/3080 etc. is if you play at close to 4k or very high refreshrate is a must for you. But when you turn on RT, you can't game at more than 1080p.

Hmmmm so far Ray-Tracing has been mediocraly implemented and that is the reason I decided not buy an RTX graphics card so far! We shall see how will PS5 and Xbox Series X use this technology and will it finally be accepted mainstream users. 4K screens with HDR are still a long time from becoming an industry standard and with RT so far we shall see if people start caring for this.

It will be interesting to see how many of those come true by the end of the year. NVidia proved they largely exaggerated or downright mislead first time round so shot themselves in the foot from then on. It will take some time (many years) to trust what they say, assuming they dont do it again!

Looks as good as AMD image sharpening.

Whoohoo. More fancy reflections that seem possible without the gimmick "ray tracing" attached to it.

WoW : Shadowlands is already live, I've tried it but the effects are almost unnoticeable and situational that I wonder if it was really worth their time (probably not).

don't start this incomparable nonsense, they are two entirely different things.

Except that image sharpening does not increase fps ;-)

I think it is higher chance of getting game that needs RT in order to work then getting GPU design that will not have high performance impact with RT on.

Thats highly likely to be years away.

I wouldn't lose all hope yet. From everything I've heard nVidia is aiming to have some actual stock out (at least in the US) around the same time as AMD, slightly before if possible, and aiming to be available before the release of CP 2077. If you can beat the scalping bots, maybe you can get one if they really do deliver some stock.
