I'm on the D14 (best air cooler by far... until this D15 probably 😀) and I can only recommend these HSFs. They are amazing.

My god it´s huge. Noctua heatsinks are top-notch, but i wonder what´s the limit for air-cooling and at what point you should just go with water.

Waiting for Hilberts review on it so we can see how it fares against the legendary D14.

Well, the fans are still ugly :P.

The color scheme isn't a favorite of mine but it is very distinctive and the performance of the NH-D14(2011) I'm currently using has been superb. 😀 (Won't upgrade to this unless I were to make a new PC build entirely but it should also make the D14 cheaper no?)

Why would someone choose an air cooler over say an H100i for just a few $ extra ? Far too massive for my liking

What happened to those nice black fan versions they showed off last year!?

Quit whining about the colour of Noctua fans! They're not ugly, they are different. :finger: I'm using the utterly sublime D14 right now but will look into the new D15 for a new build I have planned.... Oh yes.

what about the noise-cancelling technology for new Noctua fans? When is it coming out?

I may have to get me one of these.

Can guarantee it'll be quieter than a H100i.

And probably wont perform much differently either! Far too massive? The H100i has 2 14cm fans + radiator!

As with all dual tower coolers, the fan arrangement is less than optimal. Take the fan from the middle, and mount it on the outside, blowing towards the middle of the cooler, and you drop at least 2-3c on load, if not more. Sending the hot air from one tower through the second tower and expecting it to cool the second tower makes no sense.

Need the review of this beast to decide if i should continue with air coolers or if i should change to water for my new build!!! When is it coming out Hilbert???

I'm pretty sure if you face the fans towards each other you will get reduced flow and more noise. You will also ruin airflow in the case and pour hot air everywhere.

Doesn't cost any more than the price I paid a few years back for my NH-D14. Sorely tempted to buy one.

Those NF-A15 Fans are so damn quiet. I got my NH-U14S in Push/Pull with them.

Well after reading the specs on this thing, this cooler may have issues on certain motherboards by blocking the first pci-e slot.

Noctua has a nice compatibility section for each cooler/motherboard 🙂 http://www.noctua.at/main.php?show=compatibility_gen&products_id=68&lng=en As you can see, there is rarely a board it doesn't fit on. And if it doesn't fit you can either orientate it the other way to place the Videocard somewhere else.
