Watch as Intel dominates with the 14nm process. Broadwell is going to be amazing.

this is about video cards, isn't it?

CPu are not producted at TSMC .. ( hopefully )... Actually Broadwell is not waited untill 2015.. GF, ( i should say Samsung process ) have allready 14-16nm ready ( Finfet ) for SOC and Nand. and with the nearly sure last GF acquisition of the IBM fundries, they will too acquire the portfolio of IBM process technology ( who is the only one i think to do Gate First SOI plannar 22nm ). ( but IBM cpus are extremely big and costly compared to intel and AMD ones, not accessible for consumers in term of money ).

Am I the only person that doesn't care about the nm process. First and foremost to me is gpu power and I got plenty at 28nm. I can wait for 20nm doesn't make a difference to me.

You're not the only one. If Nvidia or AMD are able to squeak out more performance with less power draw on existing nodes, I'm all for it.

You're not the only one 🙂 I'm happy as long as product is faster with less power.

You seem to like the milk, since you got a 290.

I'm in no rush to buy a new gpu.

Yeah, but isn't the ability to drastically increase shader count directly related to the size process they are using? IE. they can't add many more shaders at the current process without making the die huge.

if they can push out gpu's like the 750ti on 28nm and reduce power usage while keeping performance the same then i see no need to go to 20nm all its going to do is increase cost.

Agreed. 20nm is going to be costly. Besides, there's plenty of room for 28nm to go down in price. $300 R9 290 (non X) will be happening. Probably mid/end of 3rd quarter, maybe sooner. (IMHO)

Only thing I care about is FPS performance, least it's not a fanboy war like it used to be.
